POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
"Those who control their passions do so because their passions are weak enough to be controlled." William Blake
The Road
She was waiting in a coat of indescribable bliss,
hovered with the oak and old maggoty skies, walking hand under
wound through long spindled weaves.
Her words, forever mired in palettes, a bricolage of miles
blushed impressionistic;
the dreams of sleepy leaves.
Wings spilled into streams of serenity from her eyes
her opiates, praying for a soul to kill,
this huntress bound to the arrow of breath.
It was, in end, an origin of heir
there too a vascular beast; mindless.
She called and I consumed in lavish fate her lair; ...

Aqueous
I always adored her in blue
An element extraordinary and
Terrifying in the way light
Burned against our skin
The doubt beneath her lips
The desolation that levied her eyes
As days drew this out with a marbled cancer
Crippling dusk onto a sensually pale end
We would trace hands
Sundays never found us shy
But like bricks we were stiff
Resigned
Imprisoned and made to hold back the last hours
Our fantasy flooded into fear
Just the way aqueous streams
Though I imagine time would tell all differently ...

Atropos
It was unmeasured
Undisturbed
Murderous fare
You fell from black stone
a helpless attaché
We bled the worst together
I prayed
Devouring what was left of your crucifix
while you so eerily undressed
Leaving dust to weep in a frozen ballet
Night scraped over horror
Locked inside the glass of a broken parking meter
Cluttered utterances arrived like a tempest serpent
Belly filled to testify your fate
A lunatic of darkness
and life forever altered
Though our thread...

Tapestry
I slow in green this tapestry
Laden cold
A place of thickets
not far from darkness
Not nearer than blue
But a wandering
A shifting subtle maze
Yellowing doors
and answers in every death
And here a pact of rain
It took me in
Told me of loneliness and the alter of sun
The green and shoulders of God
Here is where I slept
inside this emerging tapestry
A note among the stars
Locks entwined with wind
And you
The only warmth in truth
there ever was.
