LIVING DEAD a mother's slant

A head of silky golden curls I
Twirled around my fingers while you slept
And dreamt of dragon tales and butterflies

A Mothers heart swelled large with Love
Smiled down on you from above
And prayed the best would be your lot

But you have gone and in your place
An empty headed cold dark space
You chose a different track

Crack the name of your adventure
Cold the places that you go
You fell through its icy crevice
Now there's nowhere but below
