POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
My root for now
A man and his lover
A slow walk home in each-others arms
Laughing and talking
Talking just to fill the silence
To walk everyday in normality
Or as normal as i perceive
The root of any man
Is of course the heart
Small enough to fit in your pocket
But the world is too small
To fulfill its desires
Its longings and ambitions
Contentment is merely acceptance
I've watched the hearts of men
Destroy the ones they love
Kill without reason
Sell themselves for
Part-time betterment
Fickle endeavours...

just bones
such small brittle bones
but strong they'll grow
and most probably break
self repairing clever bones
no nicer feeling
than anothers bones
but we are the tourists
of each-other
forever searching
for a skeletal home
they all grow old
and brittle again
now carried with care
they love to keep warm
for where they're going
is dark and cold
and the bones
will out-live all its components
laying there
as much at peace as they ever were
are the bones
just bones

and most probably break

Butterfly
You couldn't be held any different;
the magnet to overwhelming hearts.
I watched you wilt, but couldn't release.
My tears pierced what remained.

I loved you for a handful of moments
A fragrance of heaven shot straight through me
Like an arrow sharpened with adoration
My eyes consulted with my heart
Faster than light
Totally motionless
They agreed
My eyes had fallen upon
A raven haired marvel
With eyes of penetrating midnight blue
Pale skin dressed with a few freckles
A curvaceous form that was
Born of love and
Born to love
From the back seats of my mind
I juggled her
Snapped her in half
Broke every inch of her
Then rebuilt her heart with...

Our sun
Our sun
Our faithful sun
A tear in this galaxy
The light that let us all be
And never shall you run
Our sun
An abstract orb
Many faces you present
We stand in awe with our heads bent
Your gifts, we do absorb
Our sun
Our most fearsome
A swell too much
We burn to dust
When will the day not come?
Our sun
The sacred fire
Are you the God
That time forgot?
Burnt the prayers, ignored the quire?
Our sun
A lonesome sun
Are you the widow of the dark?
Your very creation created heart

breathe again
cannot wash from my thoughts
the taste of the rain on your lips
after you said you still love me
i heard it as farewell
but chose to fold it away
I'll open it tomorrow
when the clouds grow around me
this would be the last
exchange of each-others oxygen
a breath too short for me
a breath i want to breathe again
the taste of the rain on your lips
after you said you still love me

Is there no place?
The clouds have hung for many moons
hiding the virgin sun.
The constant rain makes whores of weeds
and drowns the unwilling.
If millions of slaughtering Romans
are forgiven and accepted,
is there no place for a meandering soul
in your splendid dwellings?
I heard a voice guide me through the bleak,
but i couldn't follow.
I'll wander aimlessly in hope,
like a nomad driven by dreams.
hiding the virgin sun.

and drowns the unwilling.
If millions of slaughtering Romans

Church bells
Thought-deafening church bells:
Medieval sentiments.
People exchanging looks,
and words of every genre,
all colours of people.
Sense of freedom in regime.
Same old skyscapes.
It's just as it always was:
Decor has changed colour,
materials replaced,
but the scene is one of always.
Humanity.

Let me sleep
The day has had too much of me,
so please leave me to sleep.
The gravity of the world was tiring,
so let me slip in deep.
The love was aggressive,
is always the way.
Days were not passive;
I've no more left to give.
So please just let me sleep.
Bones are weak and screaming stop,
so let me lay my head.
My eyes are weighed with iron lashes,
so let me sink in bed.
The dark smiles and welcomes me,
I want to stay forever.
Oceans of serenity,
wash the day away from me,
don't wake me, let me be.
so please leave me to sleep.

so let me slip in deep.

Dreams of if and maybe
Head hanging, searching;
Like the discontent
of an ever-scribbling poet;
Hunting to cease his fustration.
She appeared to me almost human.
As a God packed in skin.
The shaded thorn on the
unsuspected bramble
that penetrates my hyde,
and probes at my senses.
She left me open and vulnerable,
a fool to be made if she likes;
but my stare was a waste,
she'd flitted through streets
like the scarab riding fear.
Through the crowd's and swallowed
by the apathetic sands.
My own mind deceives me.
Doubting the paper wall...

Will he understand
Waving goodbye
to essence of moral,
had i sealed my chance
and blocked my only escape?
If the balance
is heavy against me,
will i walk in circles
forever more.
If i fail this life,
and fail my heart,
could i be the victor
worthy of redemption?
I have been unjust,
but unjust to.
Loved so hard,
and loved the hard,
but hard was a game
i often lost.
Is there a justice
for all i am?
For all i am
is another dying child.
Death will accept me,
but will he understand.
