-Sycophant-
I come wrapped in a flag,
A fake,
Destruction in my wake.
Masquerading as the one.
The one to make it great again.
Drowning in crimson delectability,
We gulp from a fountain of life force and
Total euphoria blissfully gushes down
Our throats.
Feverish gluttony.
I set out to poison them with the divine,
I scratch out their eyes to see through mine.
I promise them exclusion is the answer.
Trapped in a trance,
The cultists follow the light;
Insects marching to their doom.
Parasites...

Run
You and me,
We’ve seen all around this place,
With its bustling streets and its bustling people.
Too busy to notice the monotony of their daily activities.
Trying to solve a puzzle that’s missing pieces.
Going nowhere…
And every day it gets worse.
And every day it feels more cramped.
And every single day it gets more tedious.
Something has to change.
The time for change is now.
So let’s run to places we’ve never been,
But have known all our lives,
And hide from tomorrows.
We’ve seen all around this place,

Broken Fate (An homage to Gold Jacket, Green Jacket by Iwrestledabearonce)
Dead… was I alone.
And loneliness is nothing less than true madness.
Reveal my opposition to the closing doors.
This absence won’t label me.
Vague memories left behind by forgotten lovers;
My shattered heart, lay underground.
You will never label this.
Provocateur of toxic words;
Pedestal of self-adulation.
Darkened skies from your eyes bleed apathy.
You let go of my hand,
We will never be tied at the skin-
You gave me your word.
My love, no words of comfort left.
None…
I am the one that got burned,
But if you come back...

The Black Rose
Her ornate magician’s garb,
Amethyst petals in the wind.
With every breeze,
Xanthous and violaceous ribbons
Streak the ether.
Her presence surreal, a gossamer phantasm.
Slackly, but purposeful.
Omniscient of shadowed magicks.
Mysterious as the shrouded arcane,
And deception abundant.
The Black Rose shall bloom once more.
How quickly the end is nigh,
One lucent moment, transforms the timeline.
Here in a flash, gone without a trace.
As light fades from eyes…
Leisurely she strolls the dim corridors,
Aware of all, and all are...

Only The End
It seemed to be in the blink of an eye.
They told me the time had come.
I was pining for them to belie.
The dread mounting, like the beat of a drum.
Our memories were soft,
When we were young.
My thoughts were aloft,
With songs to be sung.
How elegant and collected you were.
Shining silver through the darkest hour.
The light faded, and you seemed to whisper,
This love of ours,
This time we shared,
This ardor you showered,
This life can no longer be bared.
I wished it be longer,
The time that we spent.
Your eyes...
They told me the time had come.
I was pining for them to belie.

Unspoken
I, am finally,
Apathetic; where empathy once dominated.
Witnessing you hurt, hurt me.
But watching you disown and discard my aid,
Annihilated me.
I burned inside,
Like just another one of your cigarettes in disguise.
You set me on fire and watched as I died,
But like a phoenix from the ashes I rise.
I survived,
I’m alive…
The toxins purified,
After everything went awry.
And all I envision when I look to the sky,
Is that I will soar, that I will fly.
And when I look back, years from now,
They’ll say “just look...

The Void
The Void consumes,
It preys upon the broken.
What can fill it?
Hobbies, they say.
Do something productive,
Or else this isn’t worth it.
The Void rejects.
It whispers and murmurs,
Like a soft phantasmal beast.
How do you reject it?
Distract yourself, they say.
Surround yourself with people,
Or else you will be lonely.
Time slows down.
Patiently waiting, bedside,
For the death of today.
But before you know it,
Today was an eternity ago.
With nothing but small details to keep company.
They say your life is...

Redeemed
You,
You burned me alive.
I was alone,
Asphyxiated,
Decayed,
Destroyed.
Suddenly,
The world I thought I knew,
So sincerely,
Was evanescent.
I was breathing,
But I couldn’t call it living.
I was frozen in the conflagration you created,
With the sole intent to engulf and corrupt me.
I was cemented,
In a plane of existence,
Where that is all it was.
Existing… for what seemed to be,
Bittersweet eternity.
Perfection is a lie;
It is nothing more than a concept.
Therefor we were,
A beautiful...

Evanescent
Suddenly,
The world I thought I knew
So sincerely,
Is departed and soon to be buried.
Sealed away with infinite contrition; Vanished and evanescent,
For bittersweet eternity.
If, in some reminiscent daydream,
You recollect my once fond memory,
Sickened in the sun by remorse,
Of events that never came to be,
Then you will find nostalgia within the depths of your understanding,
Of our small being.
Smaller than ever thought,
Yet so significant to me,
Was our cohesion.
Our harmony.
Our adoration.
Our aspirations....

What a lie
Anticipation, shaking, dry mouth.
Longing, cruel wanting...
Waste of time, waste of energy, waste of space.
No hope, no possibility, no specific reason...
No effort. Not caring. Not careful. Not special...
"I'm fine."
Broken, lifeless. Weak.
Scared, scarred, scattered, scrapped, scraping by.
Taking it day by day.
"I'm okay."
What a joke, what a lie.
Longing, cruel wanting...
