POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I compose music and weave words -- primarily about sex, desire, and rejection. I am a hedonist with a big heart. I swim in emotion, and welcome 'feeling.'
Heaven and Hells
You are more than My muse,
dare that I say:
You light up My night,
You darken My day.
You frolic in My thoughts
like no one before.
You are like soft waves—
You tickle My shore.
And when I feel
I can write nothing else,
You propel Me toward Heaven,
and suspend Me from Hells.
dare that I say:
You light up My night,
You darken My day.
You frolic in My thoughts
like no one before.
You are like soft waves—
You tickle My shore.
And when I feel
I can write nothing else,
You propel Me toward Heaven,
and suspend Me from Hells.

Gravity
It’s sheer gravity—
the forever in a kiss—
four lips at a time.

Winter Drowns
I watch
as the Moon nudges
the Sun
from the sky—
darkness arrives
and daylight has died.
I feel
as a chill governs
the air—
Winter is coming,
barren and bare.
… (but) …
… with You,
I can see
steadfast and true …
beauty’s unlost,
blue remains blue.
… with You,
I am an ember—
I glow and burn hot,
impervious to drowning
in a world that is not.
as the Moon nudges
the Sun
from the sky—
darkness arrives
and daylight has died.
I feel
as a chill governs
the air—
Winter is coming,
barren and bare.
… (but) …
… with You,
I can see
steadfast and true …
beauty’s unlost,
blue remains blue.
… with You,
I am an ember—
I glow and burn hot,
impervious to drowning
in a world that is not.

Confession [I]
Shy, so shy—
somewhat ashamed to have You near Me.
Blushed and flushed—
the thought You’d have to bear Me.
You said that You were willing,
and I am willing to surrender,
this part of Me that winces—
this part of Me so tender.
So take Me in Your arms
and protect Me from the winters.
Place My fingers in Your mouth
that I collect no splinters.
And, from Our Lover’s Bed,
shelter Me from what I pled,
soften where I dare to tread
‘til those words—‘I thee wed.’
somewhat ashamed to have You near Me.
Blushed and flushed—
the thought You’d have to bear Me.
You said that You were willing,
and I am willing to surrender,
this part of Me that winces—
this part of Me so tender.
So take Me in Your arms
and protect Me from the winters.
Place My fingers in Your mouth
that I collect no splinters.
And, from Our Lover’s Bed,
shelter Me from what I pled,
soften where I dare to tread
‘til those words—‘I thee wed.’

Patience, Dear
gems and paper dolls
tarnished, tattered
yellowed with the fustiness of age
while our hearts are still shinin’
baneful masquerade
through pale winds we wait
‘til the Sun grows weary of our face
and the Moon starts shinin’
I give life all my love
that’s all I do
tarnished, tattered
yellowed with the fustiness of age
while our hearts are still shinin’
baneful masquerade
through pale winds we wait
‘til the Sun grows weary of our face
and the Moon starts shinin’
I give life all my love
that’s all I do

The Love of Which I Speak
You possess such beauty to My mind’s eye
that I cannot extricate myself from thoughts of You—
the hazy smear of flowers in a vast English garden,
the playful calliope of music that dances within My ears,
the muted gurgle of dying waves in the surf,
the gentle tickle of a tear drifting down a cheek.
You are ‘It’ and ‘All’ to Me—
the gavel that falls with an innocent’s pardon,
the shiver that dissipates with the loss of one’s fears,
the first burp of life in a newborn’s birth,
the breath that caresses this Love of which I speak.

Fog Rise Echo
at last the fog is rising
I think I can see you now
it’s so clear to me
it’s you
the blush of heat that blinds us
to what is near complete
hides you and me
is through
those words we said now fading
I think I can hear you now
that so dear to me
it’s you
absurd these misty mornings
when your breath just gets away
I couldn’t bear to be
without you
at last the fog is rising
I think I can see you now
we’re near complete
it’s true
I think I can see you now
it’s so clear to me
it’s you
the blush of heat that blinds us
to what is near complete
hides you and me
is through
those words we said now fading
I think I can hear you now
that so dear to me
it’s you
absurd these misty mornings
when your breath just gets away
I couldn’t bear to be
without you
at last the fog is rising
I think I can see you now
we’re near complete
it’s true

My Lantana
All the pink was flushed
from My lantana today.
Found it in Your face.
from My lantana today.
Found it in Your face.

Dying in the Killing Jar
here I am
[dying in the killing jar]
want to be
[breathing in Heaven’s air]
don’t’ you need
[something more than promises]
don’t you care
[intangible and nevermore]
“you led me to your alcove
lest I never sleep
bracing for indemnity
a porous watch I keep
“and ‘though I never doubt you
my fears are e’er there
a bastion of suspicions,
solace, and despair”
here I am
[dying in the killing jar]
want to be
[breathing in Heaven’s air]

[breathing in Heaven’s air]

Isabelle
no more words
no more roses
no more nights
hiding dark poses
there’s just the night
there’s only you
all that’s black
all that is you
—
Isabelle, I think that you know me
cos I’m the one who tore your heart
away from you and now you don’t want me
but I’m gonna get you get you back, Isabelle
—
you hide your face
behind a canvas
and paint your face
when every chance gives
but here in the night
but here with me
all fades to black
all goes away
and then, and then I’ll see
—...
