SURRENDER TO THE BITE
your instincts are troubled
something deep inside is giving warning
the vampires are out -
she won't be safe till morning
she has what they want
she has what they need
the question is
how much is she willing to bleed
will she succumb
to charms so dark
and surrender to the bite
will she feign resistance
only to abandon the fight
she is hungry
and she enjoys the thrill
it's the seduction of being
...

ALONE AGAIN
the distance creates an emptiness
an uncomfortable chill
While I can conceal the hurt
I remain wounded still
with a heavy heart
and a lonely ache
I return the heart
that in the end
I could not take
too complicated to simplify
I get tangled in the words
for the straight line that was
has been lured to curve
an uncomfortable chill
While I can conceal the hurt
I remain wounded still
with a heavy heart
and a lonely ache
I return the heart
that in the end
I could not take
too complicated to simplify
I get tangled in the words
for the straight line that was
has been lured to curve

HER
The pursuit of an intoxicating dream
that has held me captive for days
is piercing my heart in the
cruelest of ways
for I dreamt with much remorse
and much regret
of a forsaked love I cannot forget -
forsaken not of spite nor of hate
but of precious innocence
that simply matured too late
to taste her smile
to partake in her dreams
to live in the moment
in the echo of her screams
that has held me captive for days
is piercing my heart in the
cruelest of ways
for I dreamt with much remorse
and much regret
of a forsaked love I cannot forget -
forsaken not of spite nor of hate
but of precious innocence
that simply matured too late
to taste her smile
to partake in her dreams
to live in the moment
in the echo of her screams
