POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
SHUT NOT THOSE EYES
Don't shut those eyes
For there in my chortle lies.
In them i see a glaring new dawn
As your beaming smiles meld with the rising sun
To dry up the gore on my psyche left
By the gorse that once my heart cleft.
All night i yearned for your chirrup
The only hope for my cheerup.
Now that you are here i know my tears are gone
Never again to be reborned.
For my pains you will kiss away
As my entirety with passion falls under your sway
Shut not those eyes
The ladder to my ecstatic heights
For there in my chortle lies.
In them i see a glaring new dawn
As your beaming smiles meld with the rising sun
To dry up the gore on my psyche left
By the gorse that once my heart cleft.
All night i yearned for your chirrup
The only hope for my cheerup.
Now that you are here i know my tears are gone
Never again to be reborned.
For my pains you will kiss away
As my entirety with passion falls under your sway
Shut not those eyes
The ladder to my ecstatic heights

A CORNERSTONE
See,
That stone
By nadir marred,
By murk furred,
By haze cocooned,
Like a straw,
By gale of fate buffetted,
By tongues of skeptics, for
Eras a meretricious folk christened.
By tunic of shame decked,
Like a serf,
By dearth for myriads
Of eras snared.
Has,
By mettle
A pearl become.
By the hearth of cruel fate,
A gold with an ineffable glaring
Light become.
And nigh and distant tribes
On its glaring light
From the beset of darkness
Hasten to belay.
And...
