I was on a route to A to B and got stopped by a X at road works. I felt perplexed as I had learnt my alphabet in earnest when I was small. On the way to school reciting the letters in sequence with my hand held firmly in my mother’s feeling safe and with a bit of pride. I think I am a budding genius like Roald Dahl’s is with wordplay. But nothing is as clear or uncomplicated as then or as orderly or simple.

School Lessons
I've been thinking of all the things I learnt at school. Pythagorean theorem I haven’t needed to find the missing side length of a right triangle to find my way but being taught to be kind and considerate even when it’s hard would have been a useful tool to put in my kit bag ready for physical and emotional exercises.

Charity Shops .
Relationships end up in charity shops like that

You remember the day you bought it oversized for the freedom of movement and an extra layer for the winter .Practicality meeting stream lined high end fashion with every stitch one of love and art and looking god dam smart . It’s yelling to been seen it’s black and it fits just right as it slides over your back to meet your old vintage Levi jeans it’s nice to meet you .

MY HOME.
We are both laying on the bed with our clothes being shed a blouse a shirt falling to the floor in total abandonment. My body is acing for the touch of yours. I have an incredible thirst and I have to quench it. I want to drink you whole and fill myself up right to the top.

TIE A RIBBON.
I would cut myself into infinity and beyond in materials of silk fuchsia ribbons to gift you colour when you only see the darkness.
In those moments I know you think too much about the past and how you live with regret and how do manage the future when you can’t find your feet in the present. How your shoulders dip with the load of life and you blindfolded with no hope. It didn’t happen overnight it’s been a gradual decline how your feelings twist you and contort you to fit into a contraption as if you were an elastic band but you are made of twine. Which is set in the hard line...

So, you think you know her and what’s more how to fix her too. A good kick up the arse and less victim mentality would be a start.
Thing is you haven’t a clue and the times she has used triple x super glue just to hold herself in place to stand in front of you or beside you or maybe a fraction behind you.
Funny thing is when she sees you, she doesn’t look in judgment but more a secret high five in solidarity and her words are always thoughtful and considerate.
Behind a face that smiles are also ones who had to fight either demons or life and possibly their own thoughts alone...

SUNSET
He was the sun and she the night. They met at the beginning of the setting of the sun. When all the busyness stopped, and people step out of their designated roles and embrace and hold on to their chosen ones tightly. It is a red velvet gown that holds two in total bliss with sleeves filled with comfort and the luxurious feeling of the fibres of silk. They know without a word spoken that they have found their forever home, and it shows. A million scarlet blooms set fire to the sky by two hearts who become one.
