Raw Versions of Me
I guess underneath it all, I’m something like a monster
I’m still exploring. Still experimenting. Still getting to know, Me.
I say monster, politely.
Like a prismatic fuzzball waiting for the light to shine in its dusty corner, hoping to be discovered and cleansed from its impurities,
I grow every time a door creaks or the wind seeps.
And as mush as I don’t belong, the guilty pleasure burns hot , pestering for a chance to release submerged feelings.
But in the mean time, I’ll filter the air, faintly grasping at any and...

Blessings come in 3’s
When I was younger, my sister had this sunflower cloak that was apart of this Halloween costume. I was so jealous of her and I wanted it, and would often sneak and wear it. I’d pretend to be a fairy in a forest where I was free to escape and time travel to any form of me I wished. I could be an alpha woman, with a pinstriped suit and a tipped fedora , sitting on a chair of gold running every business in New York, or a curvy woman sprawled across a piano with finger waves and pearls, owning every jazz club in New Orleans, or just stay in the present day and tend to my garden, watering myself...

If there is ever a day, where I look out my glass bowl and see nothing but sun rays, I’d probably die. For so many years I’ve been chasing that perfect sky, no clouds and just pure sunlight. But , the truth is I’ve been chasing a false reality… something I will never see. Sure there are days where the clouds may be nowhere in sight, but my depth of perception is minuscule compared to that of a higher being. Caged Birds that Don’t Sing
I didn’t even know I could sing.
Am I addicted to the pain.
The very demon that I hated is the hero I became
And
It’s a shame, how fast I run back to the same old things that haunt me in my dreams.
It’s always more comforting to dance in the sheets with a nymph and a freak,
Than be cleansed from the cords and have to walk away from everything I invested with all of me.
So in my head there’s a space where I can crawl in and take my life away without receiving judgement on this life of pain.

I used to question my doctors, therapists, and even my mentor why I would close my eyes and see patterns, and numbers. I was afraid of holes. Which, actually turned out to be eyes. A playful tall tail sways back and forth
In sync like a metronome, I’m intrigued
Like a small mouse within my total reach, I paw you back and forth. A toy and its kitty.
Every once in a while I will slyly grin, and release your tail to see who will win.
My paw or your feet.
I love your small squeaks.
A toy and it’s kitty.
I know it’s rude to play with food. Food for thought, how rude is it to toy with me?
You’re well beyond your lease. Nothing in life comes free. Squatters won’t get one up on me.

Two faces adapt to ever changing situations
It’s a shame how vast the reputation supersedes the reality of my undeniable loyalty.
I only change faces when the tune is off beat.
Promiscuous nature evolves into a personal freak
That’s another story for the man who is mine to keep.
In my defense, you only know the depth of which the light will reach
Therefore how could you see from Earth to Mercury
How can you speak on things outside of reach?
I personally believe that adaptation is a gift
