VIOLET'S TALE
A lady down in Toronto
Is fighting just to stay alive
Rhythmic beeps and blood-stained sheets
Our lady weeps, she's tired and frail
To set the scene we must rewind
The hands of time for Violet's tale
Violet was a silent girl
Grew up with violent starts
Her mother was a drinker
And her father was a bastard
Every night he'd tuck her tight
But never left the room
I'll spare you of the things he did
I'm sure her mother knew
Violet was a silent girl
She moved out at sixteen

DIRTY THOUGHTS
When I'm lonely
All the corners of my mind start racing
Things that should be kept in the basement
Spend my time trying to erase them
But when you hold me
In the fantasy it's so convincing
I shouldn't think the things I'm thinking
But now I've gone and let them sink in
The more that I push 'em away
The more that you're stuck in my brain
The more I mentally undress

Oh no I’ve been so bad
thought things I can’t take back

THE RIGHT DOSE
The difference between being their medicine
And being the poison that fills their veins
Is the dose you're willing to give them
It's knowing when they need a shoulder to cry on
But also when they need a kick up the arse

IT'S SO MUCH LOUDER HERE INSIDE
It so much louder here inside
That voice you can not hear
It's burried deep within
Where my tears do disappear

That strength that keeps me strong
When I've vacated this world around us
That's the place where i have gone

DO MY PICTURES LIE
What if i told you my pictures lie
That what you see on the outside is an illusion
That if the camera could capture the truth
You'd see many tears falling down my cheeks
~
If only the flash brought you within this mind
Then you'd witness the darkness here inside
How the shadows are my only sanctuary
That the light has not been able to build a home
~
You'd see the walls of my own design
The ones i originally built to keep the darkness in
Blissfully unaware that i would get trapped too
I guess that's the price i paid for...

THE SANDS OF TIME
Do you ever wish you could start again
Refill the sands of time that's slowly fading away
Be able to fix all the mistakes you've made
Rewrite the story that's already been written

Because sometimes i wonder what would change
Would life take me in a different direction
What if i didn't walk that same road again
Would i be sitting in a totally different place
~
I realise that this is obviously impossible
But what if life gave you a second chance
Would you turn back the hands of time
If it meant you could roll the dice...

Angel Of Death
Angel Of Death
Ive been feeling kind of disconnected
from my mind a lot these days
Its like I cant seem to shut the voices off
I cant get them to behave
I'm not really sure how much more
of this shit I can even take
Before this mask that I am forced
to wear just disintegrates
And losing family doesn't help
So now Im scaling the edge of a skyscraper
And no ones screaming save her
So Im wavering back and forth
between this life or something greater
Taking steps to reach the top
And Ill slip and fall if I ever...

or try to envision a face
you never got to see?
How do you mourn the death of one
