Tainted Reflection
Our desire for beautiful people increases,
That one's beauty might never die,
But as one's beauty disappears over time,
His offspring will inherit it:
But you, focused on your own bright eyes,
Feed them with only the sight of yourself,
Creating a famine where there is plenty,
You are your own enemy.
Your beauty is now the world's decoration,
Only a messenger to the showy spring,
Your content is buried within yourself,
And, tender peasant, waste your time...
That one's beauty might never die,

I say yes, you say no;
I want to stay, you want to go.
My plans are for two, yours are apart;
I want to reach the end, yet you aim for the start.
I see life in shades of black, you see them in white;
For you I'm always wrong, and you're right.
I want things to change, you don't mind to keep them the same;
I'm left behind in the dust, while you keep the gain.
Those moments I hate you, yet you blindly love me;
I feel like I'm caged, while you're off running freely.
I think with my head,...

We Overcome
When the darkness slips away, and we look up at the sky;
We see the stars are dancing freely, and shower us with their light.
We never thought this day would come, so many words have been exchanged;
Our heads are now clear from the fog, and we no longer feel any pain.
Even with all the odds placed against us;
We overcame all obstacles.
We picked ourselves up and brushed off the dust;
I'd be damned to deny it was a miracle.

Heart of Fire
Here we are lost in space,
Trying in vain to find our place;
The endless void is creeping in,
Will someone save us from our sin?
Suddenly the sky goes bright,
Glimmering with a thousand light;
Shoving the void with mighty ire
Igniting within our heart of fire.
Oh Shaman, holiest of all,
Heed our prayers, hear our call;
Protect the chosen on their voyage,
Fill their hearts and souls with courage.

Open Mind
Waking up every morning,
To the prospect of a new day.
Leaves me with an uncontrollable yearning,
To accomplish everything I want before my imagination goes away.
My open mind allows me no rest,
Until my dreams come true.
There's no room for mistakes; I'm filled with stress,
Your blissful ignorance is the only thing that I envy in you.
My open mind grants me the view,
Of the ever expanding big picture.
To question the facts believed to be true,
With no proof,...

Like a box of chocolate, no one knows;
Just exactly how life will go.
Will it reward you if you behave?
Or simply lead you to an early grave.
Were all your sacrifices worth the gain?
When the end results only in pain.
You promise to talk to her another day;
But it's far too late, for she died today.
Her suffering and loved ones are left behind;
While you're still desperately trying to find.
Your destined path in a bleak world;
The hope that once guided you has died with...

A New Hello
My life has changed, since the moment I said goodbye;
I thought it'd be difficult, yet I feel like I can fly.
No longer will I be trapped in the unwanted memory;
And feel the pain that comes with the misery.
With this farewell, comes a new hello;
Because I was strong enough to let go.
I've got my whole life ahead of me;
Now that I have no emotional chains tying me.
To your toxic atmosphere and your constant blame;
Things have now changed, for I'm no longer the same.

What Could Have Been
We once were strangers; and now our history passes by us in a blur,
We quickly became friends; I soon wished for our friendship to never end.
We had many laughs, we've spent good times; the moments with him have allowed me to climb,
My own walls that enclosed me; I was so close, yet I'm still not free.
And then one day he upset the balance; he spoke the forbidden sentence,
It's true that he made me feel so at peace; yet I know it cannot be.
There's so much distance between us; I'm not sure if our bond will be...
