Its hard
It's hard you know
when I think of you
think of all the things
I love about you
It's hard coming to terms
that I'll never love you
In the ways and doing things
I'd love to do to you
It's hard you know
sitting beside you
Every day watching and admiring
the little things about you
Its hard holding in
the feelings I hold for you
not expressing only suppressing
the love I hold for you
It's hard you know
every time I think of you
the desire builds to a fire
Your face your smile its all of you

God I miss the sound of your voice
The way that you sing while working away
God I miss your beautiful scent
To me it says come and play
God I miss the way that you laugh
The sound of joy delights me every day
God I miss our banter
It's the way that we play
God I miss how you organise me
The frustration you feel what more can I say
God I miss when you turn smile
Your eyes speak more than words can say
God I miss you for you

The Question
I suppose yesterday was a just a trigger
The frustration has been building for sometime
I was tired and looking for a sign
A sign from you to tell me I am not alone
Each time I looked you hadn't bothered
And annoyance became a friend of mine
Here I was working but also making time
Some time from you to tell me I am not alone
What is it about you that so intrigues me
Gives me hope and creates despair
What is it about you that so enshrouds me
And empties my heart when you're not there
What is it about you that so riles me ...

I haven't been in the zone
For a poem
My mind has been like a crust
As i try to adjust
In not seeing you being with you
That Makes me blue
In not cuddling and kissing you
That Makes me stew
So I lie in bed and recall our embraces

Alone in the office
About to shower

at an early hour
Thoughts turn to you
Off on hols
My first day alone
I can assess my goals
