A Love Letter to my Best Friend
Debating on whether or not to actually send this. Any input or advice would be appreciated!
Dear Best Friend,
Leaving the country and leaving you, has made me realize something I desperately need to tell you. Upon realizing this I took to Google to get the best advice on how to approach the subject. In fact, there is an illustrated WikiHow article on how to tell your best friend you have feelings for them that would have been helpful had I been 15 still.
I thought of all the ways I could do it. I could simply call you and tell you or send you a quizzical...

The Pancakes: A Tale of Unrequited Love
i]Authors Note: I'm really looking for some honest critics on this story. I feel like it drags on but I'm unsure of what to cut. Any advice would be very much appreciated![/i]
The first time I saw Tony he was in a camouflage tank top and cut-off jean shorts that were much too tight for his abundance of behind. While the back woods, country boy look wasn’t exactly my cup of tea it was good enough to get my blood boiling. Or it may have been the fact that it was 103 degrees outside at the pool where we lifeguarded. It was love at the first time he called me ma’am with his not so...

Sweet and Sour Sauce: A Tale of Fast Food and Sex
If there is one valuable lesson I have learned from being at a highly international college it’s that you men are pigs no matter what country they are from. The only difference is the amount of subtly they use when into trying to get into your pants.
Like most girls, I can’t help but be attracted to athletes. Their toned bodies in peak condition, the way they think they are the hottest shit to ever exist. What’s not to love?
Every fall the there is a huge party after the athletic awards banquet. The whole school gathers to get smashed and hump each other to electronica...

Faded Bruises
When the bruises have faded
And the memories remain,
Sometimes it's easy to forget the pain.
The ease in your laugh
and the light in your smile,
Call to my soul to stay for a while.
In a world that should be black and white,
It's hard to tell if you're the darkness or the light.
I pull myself back -- begrudglingly.
Mourning a romance that I know can never be.
Sometimes in my dreams,
you still haunt me.
Showing the side of you ,
the world can never see.
It's hard to tell which is more damaging,
The painful...
