The One I Love
There's a peace in my soul
Its a feeling I never knew
Anticipation of each day
Cuz my heart belongs to you
Emotions on the surface
That were hidden deep within
Haven't felt this good since...
I can't remember when
Your face brings me joy
In a way hard to explain
Somehow it feels so safe
It erases all the pain
The past fades into nothing
Like it ceases to exist
The voices in my head
Are summarily dismissed
Your presence is a warmness
On a cold, dark winter's eve

Used To This
How quickly I've become used to this
How I've come to anticipate
To expect it
A notification alert has become a beacon of you
Your beautiful face to greet my morning
Like the sun rising on a new day
The passion
The desire
The love
My days are filled with the your warmth
The nights cold and lonely, devoid of your fire
Yet every moment dedicated and set aside for only you
How did I live before?
I won't imagine a life without you
I'm used to this and it's exactly what I want life to be
How I've come to anticipate
To expect it
A notification alert has become a beacon of you
Your beautiful face to greet my morning

The love

The difference only a few days can make
How a heart filled with love can so easily break

Not Mine
Trying to see if I can let you go
Can I ignore the pain and not let it show?
Over and over Im consumed with doubt
Worried about living with the fallout
So many issues that just aren't mine
Your words and your actions don't always align
You say that you're done but still keep him near
At times your motivations arent that clear
I get frustrated and go to a dark place
I wish they were my choices but that isn't the case
As much as I love you, should I take all this on?
Can I live with the fact that he'll...

Pictures Of You
Sitting here with my pictures of you
As I often do of late
I look at you and think how beautiful you are
I stare into your eyes and feel swept away
To some far off place just for us
Where we coexist
Side by side
Its just....right
I wonder what weird twist of fate this must be
In what way do I deserve your attention
You have allowed me into your life
I dont know how I'm worthy
I'm exhilarated from this rush
The kind you would get from driving a stolen car
Something you know will never be...
As I often do of late
I look at you and think how beautiful you are
I stare into your eyes and feel swept away

The sound of your voice has gotten into me
It's like a symphony
A melody
Of my fidelity
That makes my body sway
All through the day
A synergy
Within the energy
Coursing through my soul
I want to lose control
Dancing to the rhythm of my heartbeat

Blatant and unashamed
This feeling cannot be tamed
Your voice is the music of love

What if...
You will be my what if
The question that haunts my mind
Even as the years go by
Ill never leave you behind
The connection we have
Is like nothing Ive ever felt
Or probably will again
But these are the cards Ive been dealt
You will linger in my heart
A dull ache will always remain
Feelings of true peace
That are wrapped up in the pain
We finally found each other
But it seems it was too late

Lost and Found
Somewhere in time we were created side by side
Since our inception we were meant to be
Upon our separation a part of me died
My soul locked away with you as the key
Ive searched so many years trying to find
Something lost in the passage of time
Yet our essences still remained intertwined
This distance the most cruel kind of crime
Lost and aimless stumbling in the dark
Until that moment I first heard your voice
In my deepest recesses it created a spark
My spirit began to rejoice
The memory of you came flooding...
Since our inception we were meant to be

Space Is Vast
Space is all we have
But now we're making more
The distance just feels further
Harder to ignore
We haven't even met
Already we're taking breaks
The seconds and the minutes
Are the reason my heart aches
The more I want you near
It seems the further that you get
If we continue like this
Will you eventually forget?

You are
An itch that can never be scratched
A hunger that can never be sated
A thirst that can never be quenched
A craving to which there is no fix
Every moment of silence is excruciating
As if my heart has been torn from my chest
Carved with cruel intentions
An empty hole in its place
Hollow
Barren
The full weight of emptiness bearing down on me
Pinned in place and shackled to desire
A prisoner of love and a captive to passion
Yearning, longing, wanting, waiting ...
