POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Good Friends(For Karol and Kasia Christmas 2013)
Good friends are hard to come by
When noise is all around
They keep your spirit grounded
Feet firmly on the ground
Though when a lift is needed
Their potions cure all woes
In soft and caring company
We know just where to go
East wall or ancient bully land
Our allies stoke the fire
With every possibility
This boy and girl desire
Keep dancing and a singing
You wondrous mystic souls
Let no one tell you different
Each dream should be a goal
So raise a glass and down in one
We wish you every joy
From merry...

Jimmy Can's Fake
(A Father and A Son. A Cycle and A Swim)
(There are no secret weapons
Or paths left undefined
Each and every joyful thing
Is kept within her mind
She is the only lady
I've known in this sad world
Like clear and hopeful mornings
A different type of girl
My soul is pure and open
Her strength shines all around
Each night aligns the sacred
Where truth don't make a sound
Pale soft skin and beauty
She wakes to kiss my face
This heart of mine is her's now
Our future we embrace)
Dun bye nordwell keys

Imbibe My Peroration
Imbibe my peroration
One day you’ll cling to less
And lionize my memory
As minds slowly undress
The fears we lightly cling to
Through night or shining day
All doctrine does evaporate
And truth ensures a way
Let salt release the wanting
Deep yet quick to flee
No mystery allows her
To even once be free
Just see as captives see!

All Knowledge Is Profane
Arranged in neat formation
The smile's you guaranteed
Override persuasion
And bite the hands that feed
Egress is now forbidden
Advancement not allowed
Persuasion overridden
My loyalty disavowed
Enticed and then forgotten
The ego centre stage
Forsaken not begotten
Mistakes are all the rage
Inside this world located
Are wonders unexplained
Exceptions are berated
All knowledge is profane
The smile's you guaranteed

Egress is now forbidden

Nothing Can Be Lost
Yes I know I will be hurting on the day when you are gone
So I'll try and put my feelings down into this little song
I wish there was a way that we both could count the cost
But so many things are stolen here, nothing can be lost
It was broken, far from perfect and so many things besides
Nothing's ever certain 'cept for one. I never lied
I am grateful to be rolling and a rocking here today
No I don't regret a moment and my debts are always paid
So I'll try and put my feelings down into this little song
I wish there was a way that we both could count the cost
But so many things are stolen here, nothing can be lost
It was broken, far from perfect and so many things besides
Nothing's ever certain 'cept for one. I never lied
I am grateful to be rolling and a rocking here today
No I don't regret a moment and my debts are always paid

Swinging Through The Seasons
The Pogues brought me swinging through the seasons
From that sleepy sorrowful little fishing town in the south of England
On August evenings drunk, happy/sad
Lost in thoughts of a supposed heaven
To Christmas Eve in an airless factory
The world will be full of sorrows, eternally
She tweets like a little bird
Soft, sweet and melodic
Wrapped in cotton and a virginal white long sleeved top
She embraces the needy and smiles for those who have no hope
She’s in love
With you and me and everyone
Though she’ll never be our destiny
We will all...

Dev And The Tyger
Like the mysteries of all unseen
Or the knowing puns of na Gcopaleen
I’ll chance a tale of woe and pain
That lingers still with Dev’s refrain
The church is dead, long live the fear
That’s only loosened with the beer
And whiskey sorrow numbs all lust
While men with wants destroy our trust
As public office mocks the pride
Once manifest in virgin brides
Some sacrificed so they may know
That greed will never let you go
Our famine plight the tiger stole
The youth so brave in every role
We’ll...
