Selecting your path
Everyone is different
Learns and grows
Some chose the easy straight path
Others pick hard and curvy
I choose hard and curvy
Always fighting regardless
Doing the opposite
Leading to lessons
That were learned the hard way
Trying to remember what it taught
Some lessons stuck
Others are remade endlessly
Do i want to learn?
Yes
Stubbornness and blindness
Hinders at times
I’ll keep pushing along

Questioning if i am gonna see
See something that could destroy

Double standards
I don’t understand it at all
It’s been around forever
Something that we are told is normal
It’s something that we just have to deal with
I have seen it with others
Never had issues myself
Until you
It is something that I’m struggling with
A relationship is supposed to be equal
Both of us 50/50
Why is it ok for you to do something
But not for me.
I’m not hiding anything
I’m not trying to cover anything up
I just want the same treatment
If i ask you just tell me

Meeting you was a blessing
Never knowing the truth
Realizing you are the reason
Getting to know you become easy
We talked
We shared
For reasons unknown
We trusted one another
Leaning when the bottom fell
Holding on, creating a bond
Which will forever be
Calming thoughts
Not hiding
Showing true selves
Saving each other from outcomes unknown

Its easy to create a person
That hides behind a screen
Giving the seekers what is asked
Playing along
Getting away from reality
Not thinking of the outcomes
Just craving the words, actions, thoughts
Giving into the seekers
Losing your innocents
Slowly believing anything
Letting it spill into reality
Causing you to be different
Making you hide
Telling lies, keeping secrets

Scars
I wonder about why
How could someone do that?
They must be crazy, In reality they aren’t
They are normal people
Just showing their pain differently
People talk about it
Without knowing people around are affected
Possibly beyond help
Those who do it
Know why they do it
When other are puzzled
They should live their own lives
Letting us live ours
My arms are covered in scars
My own doing, no one else,
Neatly lined up
One after another
Some deep others not
Many for stupid reasons
Others for important...

Addiction
I finally found it
Something that I’m addicted too
Different then sex
Different then attention
This is something that calls
I try hard to ignore
I fight the cravings
I usually win the fight
It can change in a second
That’s when i loose the battles
Which takes me back to the start
I never thought it would happen
Said it’s not me
I can stop when ever
I don’t have a problem
Reality is i do
I’ll always have the thoughts
I’ll fight the craving
I will over come this new addiction

Falling down a rabbit hole
Is a roller coaster ride
Up and downs
Twisting and turning
Never truly knowing
What’s coming
Handlin things as they hit
Wanting it to stop
Only to realize
Its stuck-on repeat
Never letting you off
Only taking you deeper
Slowly taking over
Keeping you from changing
Making you adapt
Controlling your every move
As you ride
Accepting the fate laid out

Any way, any form

No one with you to help
