Mountains are meant to be climbed
Mortals at the valley stay
Peace everlasting get
When at the mountain
Troubles all abound
In the valley you find
Woes none can explain
While mankind remain
Climb ye mortal
Your feet for this prepare
Bed of roses not become
At the mountain yet you find

It all started with a message
“can you mentor one more please?”
You not only said yes
But with open arms
Under your wings
Took in a total stranger
To groom, nurture and prune
Daily watering
This seed died not of thirst
Training the mind so
There won’t be death at your feet
At times, not convenient

Looking up to you
Your life to live and writes to pen down

I Want To Grow
Thirsty and hungry
Looking for where
The next meal
Comes from
To fill this heart
Malnourished
With nothing to feed on
Praying for rain
To water the ground
Of my heart
My seed to grow
Bread be made
To fill this hungry
Heart of mine
I want to grow it cry's out
I want to grow it daily yearns
I want to grow is its song
I want to grow an unending quest
Looking for where
The next meal
Comes from
To fill this heart

Love Surreal
She shattered all i had in her
Another Man's arm was found
Yet I love her
Moans in passions throes I heard
All my love turned to naught
Still I love her
With eyes heavy for another
She said I mean nothing to her
Yet like a fool I love her
Family and friends advice
Let her go and get another
But daily
Her love grows within
Alas to my arms she comes crashing
When all she trusted left her
Drained and empty
Yet I love her
Nurturing and ministering to her
Wounds like battle...

Generations
Tribute to My Nigeria, an Independent Nation since 1960 October 1
Near-sixty years ago
The earth gave birth to you
Our fathers scorned complacency
Seeing beyond then present mist
Carving of a humble nation
Generations yet unborn
Toil and sweat from fervent faces
Nourished tough Nigeria soil
Bringing life to pregnant seeds
Generations shall call blessed
Some will say ‘tis yet a dream
New generations dare to believe
That high above its flagpole
High above with pride
Wavers not the green-white-green ...

SO FARAWAY YET SO CLOSE
Looking in the mirror I see yet another line
Of hope and believe etched on her face
Trusting that it will be today since it never came yesterday
Not daunted by misery and sighs of those around but
Always looking on the other side of it
Its always been a miracle will come some how someday
Its coming and today will be the day
Yet another day is gone of the many long days
Another year slips by yet she is determined its so close
The horizon she looks at for hope and succor so far away
Hope that by the day seems undaunted ...
