Expressing myself was never my strong point until I was exposed to poetry at the age of 14. I still have trouble "voicing" my feelings but give me paper & pen or an electronic device to type there's no stopping me!

For almost a week I've been waiting to meet
The one who has me smiling on my feet
Pictures, texts and chatting all day
I want to look into your eyes and know you feels the same way
We haven't officially been on our first date
But I believe you could be my perfect mate
There's to many signs to just ignore
I've never felt like this before
My palms all sweety my heart racing
Very soon my true love I could be facing
I have faith in what this could be

Love Has A Name
Love has a name
And when I say it
It flows nicely
Off my lips
But things are complicated
I wish things were different
But like always
I screwed things up
Love has a name
A name that makes
My heart beat
I cry because I messed up
I wish I could go
Back in time
And fix what I have done
Because I miss you
I would do anything
To be back in your arms
Back in your heart
Just like it used to be
But because of me
Being messed up
In my head
I lost you ...
And when I say it

Saying Goodbye
I'm saying goodbye to the past,
Because I need to say goodbye to you.
Our time together was good while it lasted,
But we're no good here and now.
To keep you a part of my life is a huge mistake,
And will only bring me down if I allow it to.
I'm not going to let that happen,
Because I am strong.
So goodbye to you and what we had,
I'm doing my best to move on.
I've been trying to forget you but I can't,
I even tried being with people I knew weren't good for me.
I'm just looking for love,

I Cry
I cry when I am thinking
I cry when I am worried
I cry when I am sad...
I try not to think
I try not to worry
I try not to be sad...
But sometimes crying is all I know how to do
I cry when I think of you
I cry when I worry about you
Thinking and worring about you makes me sad.
It's not your fault I cry

It is your fault you captured my heart.

I'm just a lost soul,
With no place to go.
I dream of you when I sleep at night,
Wishing you were by my side to hold me tight.
I am so lost and confused without you,
Because there's no one else for me to turn to.

And at times I think I'm going insane.

Misery
I'm not meant to be happy,
I'm not meant to be loved.
I sit alone in darkness,
I drown myself in tears!
My misery wants no company,
My misery knows only pain.
I hit my head against the door,

I suffer by tormenting myself.
I continue to not sleep at night,
For I love to live in HELL!

IT IS WHATEVER
My life is all fucked up
I don't ask for much
But what I do ask for
No one has been able
To give me

I shouldn't get my hopes up
Because I always get let down
As soon as I feel life is good
