That Night
Remember the snowy night in Detroit?
The night where time stopped
Sitting by the window staring at the falling flakes
We became lost in a gaze of something
Something neither of us could of explained
So many years have passed since
That night was more than a coincidence
As my soul continuously screams at my heart
To let you and shed light into the hollow dark
I lived so many lives after that night
All along you been a part of my life
Keeping you at a safe distance
Even as you try to assume your known role
Yet foolishly I remain...

Your icy hands rip open my chest
Grasping my heart in the palm of your hands
Extracting the life from every beat
Making me less of a man
My deep breathes can be seen clearly
As if standing naked on a cold winters day
My eyes turning a vibrant blue
As the life you’ve given has its way
The blood in my veins flow slower
There isn’t much feeling left
I love you barely escapes in a whisper
As you deliver your pleasant kiss of death
I’ve tried to prepare myself for this
Thought I was stronger than most
As your crippling touch...

Starving for hope
Starving for hope
Sickened by the taste of despair
I slice open my budging veins
So the poison can finally drain
I can no longer afford to care
The stress of “my” everyday life
Bounds me by chains of unselfishness
I know that they won’t understand
If they had to live my life – If they even can
--I’m sure they too would ask for forgiveness
Throughout time one thing has remained true
We all have demons wanting to dance with our soul
And it up to us individually to decline
Or to allow them into our hearts and mind
For they desire...

Reflection of Truthful Lies
Crazy to think
That if I cut my eyes out
I would be able to see clearer
Even more so to think
If I cut my heart out
I’d become more human
There is a pain I live with
That can’t be explained
Even though I’m wounded
Through the cover up
You can still see sorrows stain
Crazy to think
That one day life will take my soul
And for once I can maybe live
Even more so to think
Than I am a live right now
Yet feel the constant embrace
Of none other than the grim reaper
Everything I’ve become
Has been born through...
That if I cut my eyes out
I would be able to see clearer
Even more so to think
If I cut my heart out

Today
Every day a little bit of us dies
Yet do we ever consider that
So caught up in our lives
We fail to have one another’s back
Making us less human then before
Always concerned with our score
There are those out there
That gives a little bit of their heart
Yet what if we all did
Would we still search for peace in the dark?
Redefining what it means to be human
To be able to smile time and time again
Although without the contradictions
Good would have no definition without evil
Kindness would be meaningless
Any attempt to make...

You had said when we first met
I took your breath away
That you'll love me with all your heart
Till your end of days
My laughter gives you warmth
My charm eases your troubling doubts

It only took one breath
To realize my mistake
Unfortunately it was the last
I fade off to never again wake
The constant struggles of good and evil
That used my soul as a battle ground
Have only sent me to purgatory
Once again I am waiting to be found
Never was sure of heaven or hell
Nor was I curious to find out so soon
But under an intoxicating emotional state
I danced with the devil under the full moon
To which I thought we had made a deal
My soul for his pleasure --no pain for the others
I washed down the pills with another beer...

I walk this world so loved
So alone
Every step of mine is heavy
Holding a heart of stone
Even the warmest days
That I feel upon my skin
Far from heals
The ice burning within
My reflection yells silently
Break free
Even in a well lit room
Darkness is all I can see
As for the fantasy of hope
That which still remains
Every day I awake
Is another small victory gained
This emptiness has touched many
Eventually leaving a void inside
Watching you dance in the light
From within the shadows where I hide
Yet feel no pity...

And they were just them, --words spoken
I once felt your love in the depths of me
It was as if I was baptized from sin
Then --your words had meaning
Every day suddenly I started to count
Even the moments that were spent silent
They all began to amount
And I, yes I, -- became someone
Though I was not at that moment meant to be
Life had a meaning I couldn't explain
Except knowing you meant everything to me
Time caught up with us
As we became like them
All the right things said to be said
Once we believed...

Seven
How could this be over I thought
Everything now is worth nothing
Don't even know why I fought
Then I remembered you are everything
Cold and calus defined me
Until your love found me
A whole new world opened my eyes
I could see forever deep in yours
A place better than this
A place I never been but already missed
Time took forever with forever having no end
Every part of me I needed to shatter
Or stay the way I was
Only to loose the one truth in my life that mattered
Warm and meaningful I became...
