POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Crystallize
I wanted a place to write.
Y'know, just me and the company of coffee and cigarettes; words being born in my patient hands.
So I rented this really great studio apartment, sunlight tickling every wall.
On my first day I sat there and spun a magnificent web from my growling pen. And sat back in my sturdy chair, pleased with my creations.
Everyday, for two months, I poured every inch of that space onto my desperate pages, and every ray of sunlight pouring through that window had a name and a feeling and an urgent message to the world.
But slowly my words dwindled and I...

Full void
I was a fish circling the bowl of my mind. The water turns to rich milk as my fins push against the silent current, and my eyes fill with the inescapable white. What a perplexing paradox I found myself in; a thick encasing void.

Standstill
It seems like everything I do
Lately
Has the same purpose
Make me feel something
It urges
Make me shiver
Push me to cry
Force a tear out of these
barren eyes
Hold me and
stand by as this flesh bleeds
And then gather me in
Become a shelter
Be my refuge
From everything I can no longer feel
Pull me out into the rain
And open my hands to the falling flames
So they may lick my arms
And scathe my face
Lately
Has the same purpose
Make me feel something
It urges
Make me shiver
Push me to cry
Force a tear out of these
barren eyes
Hold me and
stand by as this flesh bleeds
And then gather me in
Become a shelter
Be my refuge
From everything I can no longer feel
Pull me out into the rain
And open my hands to the falling flames
So they may lick my arms
And scathe my face

Dancing with addiction-
Dancing with addiction-
Take this body of mine
And bend it
So it may fold into yours
Lay your powerful hand
On the center of my chest
And push the cage of my heart
Backwards
As the tips of my hair reach towards the ground
Swing your arm around
And catch me
Look down into me
With no words to busy your tongue
Whilst your eyes whisper
To every inch and crevice
Of my body
And as my hips surge forward
Aching for you
Grab my ankle and watch me
Crash
And spill to the floor
Rest assured
I will pull you down...
Take this body of mine
And bend it
So it may fold into yours
Lay your powerful hand
On the center of my chest
And push the cage of my heart
Backwards
As the tips of my hair reach towards the ground
Swing your arm around

Rest assured
I will pull you down...

Hearing her now
Her words layed down on the bed of my mind
Soft pillows
A muted thud
on tumbled sheets.
They drifted
lazy
steady rain
On my bedroom window
During a peaceful
Dark
milky night.
The moon seeping through
Just peeking in
To watch me curl around each soft word
Like a baby in the womb
Soft pillows
A muted thud
on tumbled sheets.
They drifted
lazy
steady rain
On my bedroom window
During a peaceful
Dark
milky night.
The moon seeping through
Just peeking in
To watch me curl around each soft word

To kill a demon-
I can feel
Their eyes watching;
Ever so carefully
Watching;
And waiting,
For me to lose myself
All over again.
And they'll do anything
To keep me
From myself;
But my demons and I,
Are merged,
And breathe ,
In the same lungs.
They're praying,
And wishing,
We would separate.
But if I am to kill
My demons,
I'm afraid,
I might just rid myself
Of my angels as well.
Their eyes watching;
Ever so carefully
Watching;
And waiting,
For me to lose myself
All over again.
And they'll do anything
To keep me
From myself;
But my demons and I,
Are merged,
And breathe ,
In the same lungs.
They're praying,
And wishing,
We would separate.
But if I am to kill
My demons,
I'm afraid,
I might just rid myself
Of my angels as well.

A minds suicide
I trudged through darkened rooms of my house
To an open window
And I looked out below me at the concrete and started to throw out all that was important to me;
I dug deep inside and decided to be rid of my logic first
For it was holding me back
I pulled it out
And as it stuttered reasons and options
I flung it out the window and watched it drift away
Then I wretched guilt, shame, and doubt
All together
For they never gave me any peace
I wrapped them up side by side
And dropped them toward the cold ground
Next I pulled at my heart strings...
To an open window
And I looked out below me at the concrete and started to throw out all that was important to me;
I dug deep inside and decided to be rid of my logic first
For it was holding me back

Wrinkle
I notice a slight wrinkle by her eyes and wonder
if she's examined herself in the mirror
and seen it too.
Perhaps she's seen it
and stopped to think about the events of life
and where it all leads to.
Or on the other hand,
maybe she hasn't.
if she's examined herself in the mirror
and seen it too.
Perhaps she's seen it
and stopped to think about the events of life
and where it all leads to.
Or on the other hand,
maybe she hasn't.

A cigarettes lament
I
The cigarette lamented
Have tasted the mouths of this generation
The innocent
Bitter
Lips of the youth
Dragging the life out of me
Slowly trying to fill something missing in their lungs
Releasing my hazy smoke
Into the nights air
Like all their unspoken words
And hidden thoughts
I
the cigarette sighed
Have tasted the mouths
And they come to kiss me nervously on summer nights
They hold me with softened hands
And hardened hearts
And I
I wish to give them the solace they seek
So I
I become their companion...
