My education and work experiences revolved around mathematical figures and computations. Never in my life did I imagine that I could write beautiful poetry; one that comes from the heart. "The Fire Within" is my first published book.

KEEP THE FIRE AGLOW
Though all the Congress bureaucratic be
With you I know all shall be better yet
To know I have your love does set me free
Our lives are joined in lovers’ sweet duet
To Marinduque…let’s go back whenever we can
Within that heavenly place we’ll build our nest
No human words could our true love demean
You by my side even the devil could not wrest
Our love is a gem even Bill Gates couldn’t pay
It whispers sweet songs of romance to the heart
Love, like a GPS, does guide us the right way
It never is broken, even when we sadly part
Let...

Reborn From The Fire
Rising from the remnants of time long forgotten fire
The phoenix once again soars high to reach the sky
Mixed emotions sorted, filled with fervent desire
Free spirit reborn from nothingness, free again to fly
Gave up everything, his poor soul beyond redemption
The phoenix shed vibrant colors to clear his weary mind
Hidden underground in obscurity to avoid total destruction
Vowing a new code of honor, never again to be blind
Looking at the hourglass beyond the depths of time
The phoenix tries to remember the old glory days
If only...

KEEP THE FIRE BURNING
Let's keep the fire burning
Don't let our desires go waning
Seal the flame within our hearts
Nobody to blame, no one gets hurt
Let's keep the fire burning
As the world keeps on turning
Love conquers our life's misery
Death will unfold its mystery
Let's keep the fire burning
Until we hear the bells ringing
Have no fear of the fallen angel
Because I sent him back to hell
Let's keep the fire burning
Don't shy away from the world knowing
About the love we can not set free
I hope to immortalize in my poetry

BITTERSWEET REFRAIN
As she bathe in the glow
Of heavenly splendor
Gazillion eyes are watching
Admiring her beauty, so captivating
Leaving them breathless and mesmerized
As they gaze through the night
Painting a silhouette on the ground
Which follows her every sultry move
Dark as the raven was her hair
Long and flowing like the waves
Of the silent sea
Beneath the shadow of her smile
Hides the sorrows of the past
Kept alive by every drop
Of celestial tears that create
A bittersweet refrain
Of heavenly splendor

SPOOKY MANSION ON A HILL
There was once a queen fortune teller
Who possessed a magic scepter
She lived in a nice mansion
Which was full of attraction
That enticed the handsome town heckler
What was left of that mansion was a hill
Filled with stinking garbage landfill
After the night the town heckler vanished
His parents became so sad and anguished
Finding him, head stuck with power drill
Words travel far and wide come Halloween
Spooky tales about the mansion’s queen
Who drank blood and ate throbbing hearts
While cooking other bloody body parts—

SWEET SONG OF DEATH
Trekking through the jungle
the hunter heard a beautiful song
coming from nowhere,
until he saw the skylark
hovering above him.
He followed its playful flight…
amused by its song, he got lost.
Lost in the sense of time
because before he knew it,
darkness crept throughout the jungle floor
like a flashflood without warning.
Behind the curtain of blooming shrubs and bushes—
a naked, sexy lady bathing in the babbling brook
greeted his gazeful eyes and got bewitched
by the beauty whose long flowing hair
shine...

BLOODY TOWN FEAST
In a country where the taste of blood is heaven
People love it like bread is to leaven
Blood cooked with guts and liver
Just the sound of it you might quiver
To their traditional hospitality, it’s a given…
Stories of half-bodied flying creatures of the night
Could make some children go to sleep with fright
Mosquitoes compete sucking their blood
After a day of fun playing in the mud
Rice cakes dipped in meat-blood—their afternoon delight!
Just the sight of blood-sucking vampire bats and leeches
Along the tropical rivers and sun-drenched...

LAMBENT TONGUES OF FLAME
Deep down the dense tropical jungle
Where wild animals love to bungle
There’s a large ferocious tiger
Who is subdued by a pit viper
When it comes to passionate lovemaking
I’m the ferocious tiger, you’re the pit viper
From dusk till dawn we keep the fire burning
Passion never dies fueled with glowing embers
I come charging like a wild bull frothing
As you rock like a boat tossed by the tempest

DEADLIGHTS (Rev. 1.0 10/10)
Into the deadlights our crowd gathered
In a realm beyond what was physical
Burst of fire got minds bewildered
Fear numbing the body becoming cynical
Upon seeing writhing, destructive orange lights
Deafening silence, could hardly utter a prayer
Deadlights drove everyone insane into a fistfight
Coming face to face but with a blank stare
Trying to fight back the hypnotizing spell
Leaving everyone helpless and out of sight
Restless minds in which nightmares dwell
Haunt the weary souls deprived of light
