The Chase
The room is dark.
But when I raise my head
Our eyes instantly meet,
At that moment I know...
He is about to cheat.
Smoke again fills the air.
Chocking, stroking...
I inhale deeply.
With another look at him I wonder,
'What was I thinking?'
His seductive lips curve;
Forming an amused smile.
I must NOT fall for it again.
He is a player,
This is the final trial.
I get up to go,
So does he.
Have I been that bad an actor?
Did he recognize me?
Oh God! It can't be...
Before I can vanish
He grabs...
But when I raise my head

Welcome to the market of life...
Sell your soul, stab ur friends on the back,
Cheat, lie, steal.
Clime up high, roll down hill.
Just remember to keep the market going
The alternative is death,

What is darkness
But the absence of light?
Is it the dreamer of dreams
Screaming with fright?
Would you close your eyes
And share a nightmare,
If you knew you would die
And no one would care?
If death is the absence of light
I'm tired of the fight.

Disconnected
In my dreams I see him walk towards me,
but then I'm hit by a train
called reality.
So I sit looking at the night sky
Always from my window
until you pass by.
You seem distracted, worried
My heart reaches out to you
And I hurry.
When I reach the main street
You are gone
And I once again feel alone.
Oh well...
Maybe tomorrow.

Deep Midnight
Once again I dreamed of you.
Your hair, your lips...
Wherever you touched me,
I felt...Bliss.
Beside me -my husband-
Whom i adore,
Sleeps innocently, soundly
And I can take it anymore.
I open the bedroom door,
And rushing get in the car.
Your house isn't around the corner...
But at that minute even hell isn't too far.
I let myself in
And soon I'm in your arms

But we both know

Peace is fragile...
And for people like me,
When it comes, if it comes-
It only lasts a while.
I am happy a minute,
And angry the next.
People just watch
Then give advice like they are experts.

Stay out of my business.
