POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Sirens
I heard the sirens wailing
And as I was running away, I prayed that sanity might visit me in the morning and not the police
I received a phone call several days later… Apparently they were waiting for me at my home
Physical freedom was slipping from my grasp
The veins in my head still throbbing, pumping narcotics around my body
And as I was running away, I prayed that sanity might visit me in the morning and not the police
I received a phone call several days later… Apparently they were waiting for me at my home
Physical freedom was slipping from my grasp
The veins in my head still throbbing, pumping narcotics around my body

Drukqs
These drugs are confusing my heart.
Stimulants and depressants tearing apart.
Informing my art.
Distorting my calm.
Your chemicals… mostly thwarting and harsh.

I / We
I am turning into we.
I have to confer before I speak.
Our feelings are not mutual… yet I am turning out to be, the urges I don’t seek.
Perverse thoughts influencing me… and the voice continues.
Think before you speak. Think before you speak.
I speak what I don’t think.
I am turning into we.
I have to confer before I speak.
Our feelings are not mutual… yet I am turning out to be, the urges I don’t seek.
Perverse thoughts influencing me… and the voice continues.
Think before you speak. Think before you speak.
I speak what I don’t think.
I am turning into we.

Controversial Love Poem
My conversation has dynamics.
Whereas yours has none.
I talk sporadic.
Whereas you talked winded, long.
Our sex is erotic, with your orgasm in its place.
Better than your words. Which are always, always the same.
I hate your tone of voice.
So piercing and unconstrained.
I’d like you around again.
But you were always on my case.
Excitable and neurotic, you would never refrain.
From forcing infatuation, always without grace.
Your passion served for both of us, mine wasn’t always true....

State of Something
As I awoke to the morning sirens and light shining through my blinds
I recapped on the dreams I had during my restless night
A strange feeling engulfed me, of which I can’t describe
I said to myself “don’t panic”, but this feeling would not subside
These dreams were filled with horrors, of what I might become
The future me, of someone, I know that I don’t want
My mind is trying to trick me, into a self sufficient guilt
So that I might scare myself away, from this person I’d likely kill
