POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I hope you're not in search of a happy poem. If you read my works you are reading into my heart. Cold and broken. Enjoy and stomach it if you can.
Summer Days
I yearn to relive those old summer days
When I basked in the sun's golden rays
I thought this feeling could never end
No one could see what was around the bend
The winter came and I turned cold and bitter
The color and smile from my face did wither
I felt the chains weigh down on my chest
and even with these pills, I couldn't rest
I'd close my eyes and resort to my mind
where happy memories and dark thoughts bind
Leaving me, a shell of my former self
placing my heart on a old, dusty shelf
next to your portrait and some rose petals

If only she knew
If only she knew what she was getting herself into
look all around you and what do you see
only the end and no chance for a beginning
So, take these pills and let yourself go
your only a slave to your darker soul
the angel of death is coming for you tonight
and this time you won't win this fight
forget all these songs we sang
it all ended with a loud bang
i thought that we might have seen it through
but now I know there will never be a me & you
and as I stand above your grave
I weep at the soul you could have saved

A day too late
Is my heart broken or is it dead
its all the same, i can't amend
A fire rips through my chest
the nightmare won't let me rest
the regret is too much too bear
That I didn't say I really care
and when I see you walk with him
the idea of us will no longer glisten
The saddest thing I know to date
Is knowing I was a day too late
its all the same, i can't amend
A fire rips through my chest
the nightmare won't let me rest
the regret is too much too bear
That I didn't say I really care
and when I see you walk with him

The saddest thing I know to date

The Aftermath of Her
Inside I feel my organs rot
I say I'm fine, but I'm not
This fire consumes my living soul
I hear my death bell toll
I feel as though I've dug six feet down
and I can't make another sound
I want to pull the dirt over my head
Finish it quick and soon be dead
I hope for peace I'll never find
I'm starting to lose my mind
The feelings I had are gone
To feel numb is what I long
It surges through my veins at full throttle
I try so hard to slow it with a bottle
I can't contain it any longer
these tendencies only grow stronger...

Death of Innocence
I watched a little bird die today
as he landed upon the grass to lay
When he first took off, I felt inspired
But I saw in his eyes, that he was tired
I heard his cry as he fell to his death
And saw his chest pound a final breath
I wept inside for the loss of such beauty
and questioned why god allows such cruelty
but in the end, I walked with no remorse
Because I know someday, we all follow this course
as he landed upon the grass to lay
When he first took off, I felt inspired
But I saw in his eyes, that he was tired
I heard his cry as he fell to his death
And saw his chest pound a final breath
I wept inside for the loss of such beauty
and questioned why god allows such cruelty
but in the end, I walked with no remorse
Because I know someday, we all follow this course
