POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Untitled (for now)
The crescent shaped imprint gives me the illusion of being normal
But the next day I wake,
my bones still achy and wanting
always craving relief
Always waiting to be consoled by the very thing that caused this misery in the first place
I'm trying to climb this mountain
But the top always seems just out of my reach..
My vision is always distorted
like someone is stretching the picture,
making the end seem farther and farther away,
Making me want to turn from the blinding sun,
and go back to nap in the darkness
But the next day I wake,
my bones still achy and wanting
always craving relief
Always waiting to be consoled by the very thing that caused this misery in the first place
I'm trying to climb this mountain
But the top always seems just out of my reach..
My vision is always distorted
like someone is stretching the picture,
making the end seem farther and farther away,
Making me want to turn from the blinding sun,
and go back to nap in the darkness

Opiate
Blinded by intoxication
Creating this illusion of perfection
Fighting this depression
I need some kind of intervention
But not quite sure I want redemption from this possession..
Underneath it all I think I'm still me
All I ever wanted was to be free
There's no place I'd rather be
When I jumped I flew, you see
Creating this illusion of perfection
Fighting this depression
I need some kind of intervention
But not quite sure I want redemption from this possession..
Underneath it all I think I'm still me
All I ever wanted was to be free
There's no place I'd rather be
When I jumped I flew, you see
