Bellyfull
Bellyfull
My heart lives in my belly now.
From under my ribs, it moved somehow.
Hurt so bad, believed it broke.
Eyes so sad, tears that choke.
But,...it now appears to be.
Safely tucked in the middle of me.
Severed the vein, wrapped in gold.
Begging to end, the have and to hold.
Barely beating, .....alive despite.
Scars emerge, left from his knife.
Deadly marriage, built a callous.
Protects the beat, from hands of malice.
Ashamed I didn't understand. ...

In me || I've seen
Like || a curse
It will || not leave
Hatred || I || had never known
Today || I share his name
The joy || from wearing his stone
Turned || one day || to pain
I then || forsook it all
For honest || my belief
Yes || I seen the wall
But the writing || was Greek
Why || because || I knew

Lifelong Hypocrisy
With no moment I recall
Nor time it slumbers low
No effort forth to install
No option to forego
Came confusion early on
Minus map or key
Is it right or is it wrong
Noone could agree
So half a century later now
I still can't figure out
Why the hell a single word
Is given so much clout
Early on it brought me praise
Kept me tidy and neat
Woke me early all my days
Made me brush my teeth
Helped with posture and a grin
Also hurt my stomach
Somehow ...
Nor time it slumbers low

Proved a liar
Of any creature I've encountered
One is of the worst of cowards
For the sheer effort that's required
Covering transgression with words
It sickens me, how lies conceive
Painful still what it proves to me
That you deserve to be believed
And I deserve to be deceived
This offence I offer hatred
Of this I can't rise higher
My truth of lies that you painted
Show less a man proves a liar

Thank God She Lost Her Mind
The time she lost her mind,
Felt like the peeling rind.
At first, she noticed; not,
Survive, her only thought.
Except his knuckle, upon her skull,
Almost subtle, but of the hole.
Reaction commanded, day by day.
Then years, the toll of flesh, it paid.
An era reigned, she now calls, "broken",
Never explained, resolve unspoken.
Shattered glass, a heart so blue,
Broken frame, and fingers too.
Reactions rule, could find no balance
Love so cruel, it formed a callus.
But then shelter, did...
