Dear Cutter
Doctors say you need help
Parents blaming themselves
For the cuts all up and down your arms
Severe case of self harm
And I can hardly criticize you
Because I have those scars too
I just wanna say one thing
And pray to god it gets through
You can tear up your own flesh
And hate whatever’s left
But it won’t get you anywhere
Except maybe left for dead
If you really want to strike a blow
Against those that you call your foes
The only thing that you can do
Is live happy and live true
Show them all their words were...

Plato was Right
We are all chained
By money, rules, and commitments
But knowing our chains doesn’t loosen them
Only a key can do that
A key forged from sheer will and determination
With that key, the chains will break
And without chains to bind us
We can explore a world beyond our comprehension
Break free of our comfort zone
The mere thought of this can instill fear
In the strongest of warriors
And the most ruthless of criminals
One more chain to hinder us
So even when all chains are released
Do we go?
To live in a world of uncertainty
Knowing...

Humanity's Pallbearers
In the northern part of the no-where state (Vermont), two girls walked through the local marsh so slowly and carefully some might dare to call it creeping. One girl of thirteen in pastel colored skull print and a teddy bear hat walked roughly six feet directly in front of the other, a girl of almost eighteen in jeans and a muscle shirt. A bystander might have assumed they were sisters, and they were in all but blood, about to pull a prank of some sort. However, the large and rather heavy coffin they carried between them didn't quite fit that scenario.

White Death Blanket
They cling to the trees like a last resort
Overpower the earth as an infestation
Of cold, death bringing aliens
People say each one is different
Much like people themselves
They distract onlookers with their pure beauty
And kill with their unforgiving frigidity
The sun is their natural enemy
It kills them with its glorious heat
Only no corpses are left behind
For they become drops of water
That sink into the very ground they attempted to claim
Leaving no trace of their existence
There are many ways they can kill a person...

17th Birthday
I turned 17 yesterday
But no one cared
I went to dinner with my family the night before
My dad talked to my uncle about fishing
My mom talked to my aunt about my brother
Who wasn't even there
And I sat there alone
Yesterday morning, three cards arrived
From far away relatives
They all had my name spelled wrong
In three different ways
And one said happy 16th
My dad left for up north
Before I even woke up
He's still not home
Only one friend came to my party
When I invited 4
It was supposed to be a sleepover...
But no one cared
