No End
She wasn't quite porcelin,
but her body was just as smooth.
There was a crack in her smile
like a statue, she was unable to move.
Taken by the hands of time,
she found peace within a fallen tree.
In life she was a seamstress,
she didn't know what else to be.
Her fingers found function
with a needle and thread.
She could never fit into a dress,
until one morning when she was dead.
The women at the factory were struck
with grief for the loss of their friend,
so they made her a special gown
covered in flowers, because...

Speaking To A Muse
It's been some time
since I've spoken with my muse,
a beauty bound by paper pages
dripping black ink and rouge.
There was broken
glass
at her feet,
and it was in
this place of pieces
we chose to meet.
I was dressed in black,
blending in to the dark alley
beyond a chain link fence,
I didn't know what to say,
but when she appeared
it all made sense.
She spoke of a dream
I once had when I was young,
then there was silence
aside from the sound of her tongue.

Advancing The Plot
I ain't standing still like all these shiny suits/ cause the government's been rallying them up like troops/ now I ain't been one to salute/ so you may as well just shoot/ me down, militarize your masses, cause I got my own formations/ these lines of mine are just as powerful as the emancipation proclimation/ and like Abraham Lincoln, I'm just trying to set people free/ from enslavement of this society that's too blind to truely see/ the fact that we're being led astray from accomplishing our dreams/ when they keep releasing propaganda to keep our eyes glued to our computer screens/ no more...

In Their Absence
He doesn't know her
name,
maybe he's afraid
to tell her his
own,
because he always falls
in love
after the first
step.
She wonders if he will
ask her out on a date,
but the only chance
they get to see
one another
is when he walks into her
work and there is never
time to get the words
together
between
hello and goodbye.
They seem like a perfect pair,
but he doesn't want to
let go of his solitude;
he desires women,
yet enjoys the moments
in their absence.

If Only I Had
If only I had, one good reason, like put my family first/ If only I had, one good reason, like write a verse/ then maybe I could quit, as if I was smoking/ but that isn't it, and it's been hard coping/with the fact that I can't escape, the need for a drink/ it feels like I'm in constant debate, with myself, when I think/ whether or not, I should waste, another day wasting away/ maybe I should, spend some time with whatever God is listening, and pray/ I just don't know what to do, and I can't make a conscious decision/ so if there's anyone there, please don't mind my given religion/ I need...

It used to be parties every night, man/ now it's like, this shit ain't right, damn/
I got a hang over that lasts 24 hours/
gotta book a day off work just to stop and smell the flowers/cause this lifestyle I've been livin takes time/ to get used to,and even though I rhyme/ yo, that shit don't matter/ I got a quart of liqour all up in my bladder/ and it's mixed with coke and ice/ see, I keep my addictions held tight in this vice/ and I won't be caught dead following society's fools/ don't wanna count how many years I've been locked up in society's schools/ with so much debt I just...

When Everything Is Lost (We Won't Stop)
1st Verse:
The world is dying all around us and we're just lying down our hearts / giving up and giving in, no more love, just all these painful parts/mixed with blood and mixed with sin/ we've lost the strength to fight, with nothing to believe in/ trying to find peace when we're all at war/ it's tough to stand up, when we fall like we've always done before/ maybe if we scream it hard and loud/then we can create something from this crowd/ of people just like you and me/ who want to change and become free/ from all these battles that surround our rights/ so just follow me and we can...

Seasons
You know, I've been fighting with love for as long as I can remember/nowhere feels like home, and now I fear the cold of December/ so now I gotta endure the frostbite and pain/ I can see dark clouds outside and everything looks the same/ around me and all I can think about, is how much more my heart can take/ will it be able to withstand another winter, or will it just break?/ This season's got me freezing, like the water on the lake/I feel like I'm turning to ice, and there's no more leaves to rake/

Aperature
My feelings for her developed
slowly like a photograph
in a dark room.
She hung from my lines of poetry,
dripping with form and structure,
waiting to be bathed
with my warm words.
The way I looked at her
was black and white,
clear as the water
sitting calmly in a tray
developing her image.
We went through the steps
underneath the red bulb of love
only to find ourselves
in the darkness
where the only light
came from our eyes
and it is there where I saw
her beauty...
slowly like a photograph
in a dark room.

Hope
I'm just trying to find purpose, or someone to believe in/and it's been so long since I left, but I just keep on leaving/ everyone behind beacause I don't understand love, or loss, or anything other than the reason/ I keep telling myself that they ain't the one, gotta change again and fall for another season/ but every December it gets colder and I can't stand the depth of the snow/ I know that it just gets deeper, no matter why, or where I go/ 'cause with this life I've been given, I'm still trying to find my ebb and flow/ who knows if there's a point, or a purpose, I'm just trying to find...

The Love You Claim
They never told me that love would be so tough/ so tell me why, this has to feel so rough/ I tried to make it work, but got left in the mud/ Is this what it means to be bitten by the bug?/ 'cause it's like a sickness that I got somewhere deep in my gut/ yet I'm standing on the edge of this clif yellin "I don't give a fuck"/ So what if I can't tell you that I love you, what do the words even mean?/ and I'm not sorry that I'm drunk, there's another side to me that always gets in between/us, and I thought that you knew this/ I don't wanna hear it, now I gotta go piss/ 'cause I'm pissed off, and...

Burying Sand
She's been digging down deep,
burying sand,
as she hit rock bottom
and the sea rushed in to the land.
He's been fighting for her,
battling addiction.
As his wife lost control
life felt like a book of non-fiction.
They've been together for awhile,
sheding tears
as they struggled to love,
hoping to find a way around their fears.
