No Feeling
Sitting back watching
As life passes by
Numb to all feeling
Just not sure why
Wanting a life
Preoccupied by death
Never sure where I will end up
From one day to the next
My life has no meaning
My heart has no heat
A soulless being just floating by
Never noticed on the street
Sometimes I wish
I knew how to cry
Maybe then I would be human
And feel before I die

These scars on my arms
That turn you away
They mean nothing to you
But to me they mean a lot
Each one tells a story
Each has its own tale
Each one is about a battle
That within me I have fought
They prove Im a survivor
They prove I can overcome
They show me I have courage
To get through what, in life, Im brought

On this day
I became your wife
I walked down the aisle
And took hold of your hand
I promised you love
With our wedding band

Before You
My life before you was empty
No reason for it at all
No reason for my being
No matter if I were to fall
You picked me up and carried me
Into your world of light
And ever since that day
I have seen a brand new sight
A sight of love and happiness
One of peace and glee
A sight of hope and freedom
And you gave that sight to me
I can’t begin to thank you
For all that you have done
And I really need to tell you
For me you’re the only one
No reason for it at all
No reason for my being
No matter if I were to fall

Why
It’s not about pain
It’s not about hurt
It’s not about life or death
It’s about feeling mortal
Knowing that at any moment I can choose to leave this hell
where I am not meant to be forever
All the while knowing that I am strong enough to survive
everything in my path
It’s about winning each battle one at a time but leaving a
“mark” to tell its story
Some use art
Some write
Some tattoo

There once was a time
When all I could see
Was a beautiful vision
Of you beside me

In the blink of an eye
Now that is gone

All I Wanted
I wanted you as my lover
I wanted you as my friend
I wanted you forever
I never wanted us to end
I wanted you in my arms

I didn’t want to fight
I wanted your lips to kiss me

No matter who there is around me
I will always be alone
No one understands me
Or the thoughts that I have known
I live a life of sadness
Full of eternal pain
Im forever stuck in madness
My life is just inane
My thoughts go round in circles
So Im in a constant spin
Thoughts of death surround me
And eventually they'll win
I can find no reason for being
This truth is bottled up inside
I do not belong, I cannot fit in
