on the quay - senryu
never will I see..
for i left my sight with thee..
longing to be free..
knowing it to be..
setting out upon the sea..
I heard the banshee..
as she turned to me..
her mourning call my decree..
i'm unable flee..
for i have no key..
looked away upon this quay..
a failed escapee..

wake me
will you wake me..help me to escape..for i fear my current state..
will you wake me..let me hear your voice..I need to know it was your choice..
will you wake me..hold me to your side..i long to feel your fear subside..
will you wake me..offer me your embrace..i need to feel safe..
will you wake me..take with your hand..i know this isn't what I planned..
will you wake me..lift me from this blight..i only need your sight..
will you wake me..touch my with your lips..i long to feel their eclipse..
will you wake me..brush your hair against me..i want to know if this...

i failed at starving it out
sitting in my car..
questioning my reason..
my long lost faith..
grasping for reasons..
to simply turn away..
but the startling tap..
she gave to the glass..
drew that to an end..
now feeding my addiction..
i had tried to starve out..
i reached for a friend..
a justification to stop..
but was unable to touch..
as the feeding began..
a frenzy of pain..
did surface so quick..
as i had succumb..
to the monster i am..
for i got lost in her gaze..
enthralled by her voice..

the sun won't rise..
and the moon won't shine..
in this world of mine..
for the light..
truly to bright..
to a person such as i..
and words..
will never truly describe..
these thought i have..
these thoughts of you..
this endless cycle off pain..
that i go through..
which brings me here..
each moment i am awake..
alone..
and in true darkness..
once more..
in this place i do call mine..

my blanket hast fallen..

my security now gone..
things i've wanted..
go slipping through my hands..
a glance here..
a ponder there..
it set the stage..
i began to stare..
i stepped here..
i fell down there..
i'm not alone..
but truly scared..
of what..
i still don't know..
i know which way is up..
and which is down..
that..people come..
and some do go..
some stay long..
while most grow cold..

need to be gone
i rolled over to see her..
i awoke in shame..
as i knew not where i was..
yet i know what i had done..
i drew the covers..
as i tried to remember..
as i turned to her in fear..
reaching to touch..
a body now forgotten..
i searched for her very name..
as i needed held..
if even by her embrace..
i whispered to her softly..
simply saying love..
in a hope she'd pull me near..
but instead she merely said..
you are still here..
hurry you need to be gone..
i awoke in shame..
as i knew not where i was..
yet i know what i had done..
i drew the covers..

head not my word..
for my truths are yet lies..
and my lies..my reality..
for i live in this world..
to which i am one..
one with the darkness..
the coldness that has entered..
beckoning at my heart..
an enemy of mine you say..
i think not..
for i know better..
it has breached my soul..
no others..
taken my compassion..
my very sight..
not yours..
just mine and mine alone..
for this reason...
i head you my warning..
stay away..

for my fiend is approaching..
