The Queen’s Tarot (Octo) The name “October” comes from the Latin word octo, meaning “eight.”
In the original Roman calendar, October was the eighth month of the year.
This calendar, attributed to Romulus around 750 BCE, only had ten months, starting with March and ending with December. When January and February were later added to the calendar.
October became the tenth month, but it retained its original name.
October moves from Libra’s air sign qualities to Scorpio’s intense and enthusiastic water sign energy.
