I'm kinda confused we're categorized as  human beings. However we're mammals like a house pet & etc. Just like they have different breeds ours are different races. Do we not all feel emotions, do we not all need food to survive, do we not all have sex & etc. So tell me exactly truly wat is all these labels for??? Technically none of us was here 1st so who truly is the aliens. Yes I know 🌎 is the planet I reside but technically I live in space which is where earth resides the only difference is gravity!!!

At the port of Pontevedra,
He promised to come back,
crossing the sea of the Atlantic
In those days, was not an easy task.

Full  bread was not enough, for him, her,
and the baby that was about to come,
good bye my love, gone to America,
for a dream, that no one know how
it will turn.

The tears leaving tracks, on her face around
six month of age. He jumped into the boat a
new life was ahead. promise to come by
winter time, by the time the baby would be
2 month of age.

Who knows how many moons, and suns,
meteorite, Shooting Star passed by,
after the expected winter.

Winter goes, and winter comes,
She is seating at the port,
With her boy 6 years old,
Never other Man touched her body,
she was devoted to the promise return.

The wind blows her thin hair,
You could not tell the different
of color between the hue of the
dark grey sky, and her hair.

The ants, the crabs, and Him,
became 6 year old friendship.
The romantic birds that
seasonal changed their location,
always waving a good bye to her.

A baby bird used to talk about her,
out of all human she is strange,
one of this day mama, can we stop
and talk to her.

The dress was 7 years old,
her pulse were weak,
her eyes tired they could barely
keep themselves open.

She promised to her self,
until the age of 8, to say a see you later
to all of her friends at the port,
and to him. and return for a final good
bye, when the son becomes a man.

The boy asked? mama why the
sad clothes all the time. at this point,
was my father a fisher man, is he still coming?
here I took root with your father, here
is why I hate the sea, but I just admire
it, from here. one day The sea, will return him
to me.

on the 18 year old,
Her hair, got whiter, and her skin lose,
there was so much scar tears,
her face looked beat up as the moon by rocks,
she sat down on the same seat,
the birds, the ants, the crabs, they said Hello,
now alone, waiting  for the promised return,
and for her son, that promised her,
to go back to America to bring His father home.

Smook...

This is a very interesting collection of thoughts...I enjoyed it...
but I fail to see a portrait or character...
It simply does not fit the competition...

Thank you for the cool words though...

Awe dollface...this was gorgeous..
and also a unique way to go about this..
Creating a portrait of this woman through her son and change and longing...
Her mans lot...and waiting for him..
The time...the places...
Love the crabs as this little part of this..
The whole thing..sublime...
I just melted into this piece..ahhh...
loved darlin!

Thank you!

here I took root with your father, here

to me.

This kid I didn't know

This kid was awkward...gawky.
Pale and blonde..his blue veins could be seen in the bags under his eyelids.
He always looked tired.
A handsome face.
I'm lying to you..this kid had no alibi.
A face that surely won him no friends.
Big front teeth..big ears..the works.
Occasionally I'd see him crack a child like smile...just listening to other kids conversations.
I wondered what the thoughts were in his head, what beauty had touched him.
How could this unfortunate young man draw such pleasure, from the same people that ignored him when they where bored with him?
He was brutalized in a fashion that can only be described as a rape of some kind.
Every damn day.
The older miscreants beat him mercilessly...he screeched as they chased him down and pinned him.
He had an intimate knowledge of some of these sociopaths...he knew what their spit tasted like at the very least.
Some of the girls liked to laugh at him...I mean, why not just completely dehumanize this kid?
You are all so much better than him...people.
A living Hell.
I hope the kid eventually caught a break...I just couldn't watch anymore.
Funny the things we choose to ignore.
After some time..this kid didn't exist to me.
Years later he would take a rifle and murder his grandparents...I can't even imagine what prison life has been like for this kid...if he still lives and breathes...I wish I had helped this kid, whose name I can't even remember.

Fuuuckeeeen powerful!
I knew this kid.....
Was a girl in my school...
She ended up torching a household..
With probably the only people that ever made her feel needed...
because.  i remember looking at her in HS    and never saw evil...just lonely..

oooh....chills!
in tears...

great fucking piece!
Thank you!
