Is It Scary For You?

The scariest thing in the world to me
Is the word intimacy

Not a fear of not doing it right
Even though there's a million things I could do wrong

It's a fear of rejection
Not the kind when you want to and they don't

When you're in love with someone
And you tell them you're asexual
The fact that you may never want what they crave
After awhile they may turn away

Maybe it's not that word that scares me
Maybe I'm just afraid of heartbreak
