Hades
I had once committed a sin
And hung i had been
As my spirit drifted from my body
I saw black wings and thought i was dotty
Thantos took me in his arms so wide
And led me to the underworld by his side
He took me to the boat of Charon
But it was so baron
I saw Cerberus the dog with three heads
Then saw Elysium with spirits safe in bed
The Isle Of The Blest were for heroes of the best
I heard screams
That will haunt my dreams
The Fields Of Punishment they must be
The black castle ahead of me i see
The Palace Of Hades so big and dark
I saw he Fields Of Asphodel as Cerberus bark
The Furies circle overhead whips in hand
The three are a band
I now head toward the Judgment Tent
Bad i always meant
In the tent i see Minos in a golden mask
In the glory of it he likes to bask
My past plays out like a theater
Then he judges me in an unfair meter
Fields Of Punishment i must endure
But the Furies want me to do more
I fed the gods human flesh
They deserved nothing less
A fruit tree above my head
In a lake my legs feel like lead
But i may may never drink
May i always have a missing link
My name is Tantalus
I am a prisoner of Hades
I have one question though, how do we know if we win the publication contest?

FOR ASGARD (Official Entry)
"Lo, there do I see my father.
Lo, there do I see my mother, and my sisters, and my brothers.
Lo, there do I see the line of my people back to the beginning.
Lo, they do call to me.
They bid me take my place among them.
In the halls of Valhalla
Where the brave may live
Forever."
- The 13th Warrior
Upon the Bifrost I ride,
From the mists
With the Valkryies before me.
I go to face the All-Father
Will he see the warrior I am to be?
To die in war, my only wish
Show my worth
During the spin of the clock.
Will I stand with my own fathers
When I go to face the tides of Ragnarok?
Rise, Einherjar!
For strength and honor.
Rise, Einherjar!
One last time
And into final war!
The sky is bright with golden sheen
Eternal
Where the immortal still stand guard.
I long to join the ranks of Thor
And take the battle among the shining stars.
Eons pass, the shadow lies before
Infernal
To lay waste to worlds below.
We will soon rise to ride and meet
The damning evil and deal a mighty blow.
Upon the horizon
There stand the Gods
Odin, Thor and Frey.
Sleipnir neighs
On mighty legs as
Gungnir lights the day!
But from the darkness
Stir the beasts,
Serpent, Wolf and Queen.
Draugr await
For warm flesh and blood
Shadow consumes day!
At last, the twilight of the gods
Here and now,
The final battle has arrived.
I must be brave and stand here firm,
As my family below sees fire in the skies.
We march in our father's names
In honor,
We will face the monsters before.
Here and now, the death of gods,
Lay witness to all at the final war.

That reminds me of a mix between the Greek monsters the sirens and Charybdis.

In Norse mythology, Valhalla is a mighty hall ruled by the god Odin. The warriors who die in combat could be chosen by Odin to join the masses already gathered there.
C'mon, poets! Tell us about life after death... choose your underworld.
