Poetry Contest

Write about being wasted , one week and the funnier the better .
Don't Make Me Laugh Man

The sun is shining
with a nice blue sky
she's there writing
with Matchbox 20
cranked up high
yeah
Rob Thomas gazing
with a glazing eye .

I hear the clicking
of the lighter
her mind is ticking
like an analogue clock
monitor .

She grins at me
bowl in hand
trying to hold in
a bursting laugh .

'Don't do that man'
she says
you make me laugh
then I cough
oh , such crazy days .

Weed. The sonnet.

Getting lifted, and twisted with that 420 flair,
High out of my nugget, funny look on my face.
In my seat I just shifted, pass the bowl to be fare,
Get to my level, no more dragons to chase.

Pack me a bowl, of Colorado's finest green,
Only in glass, to enjoy the taste,
Weed so good, it makes you lean,
Confusion sets in, you can see it in the face.

Stoned out of my gourd, trying to get even more lifted,
Sit down with my pen and paper to write.
When smoking God's medicine, and life's hardships seem shifted,
This stoned out of his mind poet, lets his pen take flight.

This bowl, brought to us by our sponsors in hd,
Stoned out of his mind, and written by me.

Many good brain cells, lost in the battle of insanity vs. reality. A moment of silence for those lost, if you will....

If music was a drug

If music was a drug I would mainline it
Classical, swing just a little sting
Rock and pop ride it to the top
RnB, hip hop I hope this never stops
Blues and jazz now my legs starting to spazz
I need a taste of that METAL
I’ve got the cure for the itch Johnny Cash
If you want a taste when you’re off your face
Goa- psy then I’m your guy
Yea I’m a junkie, a musical junkie

Back in the day,
we were so young,
restless and bored,
so hip to be cool,
we drooled
for herbal adventures,
seemed like continuously.
Score.
My buddies and I had
had waited three weeks
for this wonderful stuff,
sweet-sweet
tasty-Thai-stick!
We were told it
was the ultimate rush,
would push our cerebral limits,
it was not too thick,
but rather skinny,
cost us an arm and leg.
Well, not really.

So excited and anxious,
we couldn’t wait to blast off,
reach another orbit
on this beautiful sunny day,
get stoned,
play with cuties,
some honeys on the beach
in a haze-euphoria,
possibly in reach.
We packed the car full
as well as the bowl,
lit up the BIC to torch it,
passed it all around.
It was a real tasty treat,
the smoke-smell was surreal,
its effects happened quick,
relaxed,
we felt completely blasted.
What a dreamy-feeling,
a killer high,
it went in so smooth,
and
when it came out,
we felt so devout,
floated in the clouds,
buzzing.

Then we heard the siren scream,
a wailing outside,
we tossed the
evidence rather fast,
pulled over,
right
on the bridge
waited quietly,
our game faces on.
Time seemed forever,
bewildered
we sat
with
cars passing by us
in rapid-succession,
all honking incessantly,
you could feel their hot wind,
some flipped the bird,
even cussed.

Strange, there was
no copper behind us
not a single marked-car,
just empty space
and
the radio blaring
“Jailbreak”
into the air.
Christ Almighty!
we had experienced a
Thin Lizzy scare,
how silly,
stupid
numbskulls
with no cares!

NORMAL

Head upon the floor.
Vomit next to me.
Sweating,shaking,cold.
I crawl upon my knees.
Every aching minute.
Every clouded thought.
I ask how I got here,
but of course,I forgot.
I make my way to the cure.
The remedy,it waits.
I heat it up,and draw it in,
now seconds from being sane.
The way I am without it,
swimming in my blood.
I'm crazy when I'm sober,
and normal when fucked up.

Good Morning charlie

Morning has broken with white on the mirror,
My eyes glaze over as my soul starts to shiver.
Soon my body will ache, my make-up shall flake,
Jesus I don't know how much more of this shit I can take!
The dark, storm cloud hangs over my head,
I cry for no reason, lying broken in my bed.
My mind is alive yet my body is dead.
So I do what I need to do and I cut a line,
Then the storm cloud disappears and I suddenly feel fine.
