Underwater Wedding Fantasy
The call of the wild is strong, the mystery of the unknown
is even stronger...I don't understand why my mind has flown
back to our beloved island paradise where lovebirds sing
from dusk till morn - where our young love has been forlorn.
We used to swim and play in its crystal blue waters
as our parents combed and tamed the rough seas;
often wondering what lies underneath the coral reefs
as our backs were caressed by its white sandy shores.
Now I know why I was always drawn to the waters
for those bittersweet memories still linger in my brain.
We separated without saying a word of love and good-byes--
only that sweet innocent kiss that binds our young love -
until now...since Fate has been kind to bring you back.
After living separate lives for so many hundred moonless nights,
never in my wildest dream will I ever see you once more;
we vowed to love each other with a love that is deep -
deeper than what our bright minds could fathom,
from here to eternity, now and forever more...
If heaven and earth's churches won't bless our union;
then what better place to be than in a subterranean:
three thousand feet under the surface of the ocean,
where our witnesses would be the creatures of the abyss,
and my bestman would be the big red, three-foot jellyfish.
Glowing octopuses would provide luminance
assisted by the red lanterns if they have a chance;
they will brighten our altar as we say our vows -
of a love eternal--deeper than any of the oceans...
Giant tube-worms would line our unfathomable path,
providing colors and energy from chemosynthetic mat;
be careful with your bridesmaid - the Spanish dancer
as it will stick to you, thinking you're an aggressor.
The dumbo octopus and threadfin snailfish would lead the way
as our long list of guests could get lost in a queue:
from cockatoo and vampire squids
to a school of angler fishes and saucer jellies,
just to name a few.
Won't it be better that we just put them in our bellies?

Treasures of the Deep
(Gold rock found offshore during low tides in our island)
Your white sandy beaches were our playground
The deep blue yonder - our source of food
Always teeming with fish of different species
Shores abound with clams and tasty sea grasses
Growing up I always wonder as I scoured your depths
What lies beyond those beautiful coral reefs
I always imagined there could be something sinister
Every time I dived and would see something flicker
My curiousity was amplified upon hearing a folklore
From my grandfather who barely spoke a word or more
Legend has it that a ship of pirates had sunk close to shore
Together with their looted treasures - unseen no more
Another legend was that of the sunken Japanese transport ship
Laden with Yamashita's gold not far from our airstrip
Those treasures were zealously guarded by some spirits
According to some local tales - with or without merits
One day a rock formation was found on the surface
From beneath your ocean floor blanketed with haze
It was called the golden table for it glitters like gold
Believed to be the gateway to a secret chamber of old
What a fool am I, for not listening to my old folks
Otherwise I could be cruising around on my luxury Volks
And no longer entangled with this hell of a rat race
Sometimes ahead, but always get caught up in its maze
Countless moons and sleepless nights have passed
Vivid memories of my childhood, still alive in the past
Even when you're angry, you let me ride your fifteen-foot wave
You never forsake me no matter how bad I behave
It would be my regret if my weary soul never set foot again
In your beautiful shores-- I want to remain
To feel your white sands once more with my bare feet
And to bequeath my body in your bosom: my final respite

'Twas a cool dawn when the drifter sets off
to sail an unchartered ocean all by himself;
he could see where he came from,
but not where he is going...
All his life he's been wandering
from places he has been before,
and to places he has never been.
This time his journey has no particular destination
for in his mind, he is on a quest for happiness;
as far as I know, there's no route to happiness,
for happiness is a voyage and not a destination.
Day and night he sailed through the seven seas -
with spirits high defying the turbulence;
his fervent desire to reach his goal
keep him stay the course against all odds.
Then one moonless night with a stroke of bad luck,
the violent tempest of all hit his sailboat's mast;
it broke and hit his head leaving him unconscious.
For many days he drifted, tossed by the angry waves
to a distant island where he ended up: a cast-away.
His spirit was willing but the flesh was weak
from days of hunger and thirst, until hope against hope
his eyes about to shut, saw a flash of light from the sky;
turned out to be the search and rescue crew
who responded to his SOS radio message
before his sailboat was wrecked and sunk into the abyss.
After months of healing and full recovery,
his wandering spirit took over again.
This time he is certain where to go;
he would see the village sage to seek his wisdom,
and ask for help in his conquest for happiness.
Be one with nature and yourself while you meditate;
free your mind from worries and set your spirit free.
Find peace in chaos and be happy with what you have;
emptiness fills the void, silence your loneliness.
Remember evils always overreach and are never content...
Go and find another way, seek the truth and the life--
real life: obstacles along the way and your struggles;
once you see them all, happiness will soon follow.
After hearing all of these from the sage the drifter cried,
for he soon realized that there isn't any journey
that will lead him to find happiness--
Happiness itself is the journey...
the journey ends where your heart lies.
What a fool I have been for knowing nothing;
I have been happy all my life, I just didn't know it!
Cry not, for your search was not in vain.
Equipped with his new found knowledge,
the drifter went home ecstatic.
Day and night he spent countless hours of meditation
trying to achieve an aura of perfection;
then one day he was surprised to see himself,
sitting motionless in a deep trance.
Why have I not seen you before?
I'm always there with you, come high tide or low tide;
wherever you go, I follow...
Because no matter what you do,
it's me-- your conscience that bears the burden of it all
and your shadow, even when darkness claims your soul.
With a blink of an eye he was gone
wandering far and wide, from one planet to another;
he was having so much fun, for he left all his worries behind.
He defied the law of physics as well as Einstein's theory
that nothing or no one can beat the speed of light;
but with a blink of his eyes, he can go beyond the light.
Then one day he tried something foolish and unthinkable -
dived into unfathomable depths in search of his beloved sailboat
lo! and behold for it was still intact except for its mast,
inviting him to go aboard and explore inside.
Before he could think, he was sucked by swirling currents,
buried deep and vanished into oblivion;
his spirit never to return to its mortal vessel.

Dummy Dive...by mikimoondancer
I thought I'd just dive in
delve into the depths you offered
actually flaunted...
banging my metaphorical head
against your imagined devotion
All the colours turn red
in this non-existent ocean
that is you..
My delusional thoughts on the
layers of disguise
Like a well wrapped box
with nothing inside
I thought I'd just dive in
delve into the depths you offered
actually flaunted...
banging my metaphorical head
against your imagined devotion
All the colours turn red
in this non-existent ocean
that is you..
My delusional thoughts on the

The yellow
of this day
tunes a cello
it's time to play
with notes , a current
form of pay
you're going under
my ultra spray .
Mess with fire
and you will learn
a funeral pyre's
where you'll burn
the smoke goes high up
where moon's do turn
to shamanistic choirs
who's vocals curl .
Congregations
with all the wrong vibrations
where morning stars
lose their cover halo's
if this is what you are
I'd stay away
and lay low
as the jug or the jar
may pour
some lunar H20 .

Holding On ( SP Summerscales )
Desperately holding on
to something
in the last hour
you don't know
it let you go
it already had a hold
of you
before you knew
way before you could cower .
You've slipped away
on the appointed day
nobody escapes
the stairwell tower.
Life
the compulsory addiction
post existence
the impossible prediction .
Running away
from the spiritual crew
you dont know
that before you were born
it already had you .
We are reaching for a life
with no pain
maybe we can
on another plain.

Into Blind (SP Summerscales)
Hello
infinity night
your dead out there
although
I get your light .
It's lonely here
below the stratosphere
were nowhere near
but to me your clear
am I in your sights .
You became my friend
your dark
you listen
dogs bark
street lights glisten
no end
to your mission
you bend
comprehension
can I lend
some vision
to tend
my dimension
the other end
of the spectrum
you aprehend
all to be done .
So once again
hello my friend
you've always been there
you breathe
without air
I see you
when there's nothing there
no feet
but you get everywhere .
So when we meet
I hope that you still care .

"Sea of Tears"
http://top-10-list.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/The-sound-of-the-waves-crashing-against-the-shore.jpg
Sad
tales of woe
told
for millenium,
whispers on
quivering lips
about mysteries,
the briny deep,
ancient waters
stealing lives,
hearts of the brave.
Slipping into
dark azure
depths to
keep sanity,
the vanities
of this measured life
are cleansed
by the raging tides,
my soul to keep.
I hide inside
my sea of tears
quelling fears
on the solid
jagged shore,
knowing
more storms
will surely come,
comforted.

Gravel in the Well
There’s a cold and lonely stone
at the bottom of a well
on worn and rounded corners
it once stumbled down a hill
flaking flinty flecks of granite
when it tumbled while it fell
until it plunged into the limelight
at the bottom of a well.
Stones and pebbles mourn alone
far below the evening chill
where once they sat at sunset
atop their great majestic hill
little ripples swam to soothe them
singing welcome to our well
until they lay in warmth and calm
far below the evening chill.
Ten thousand years wind down
merely moments to a well
singing waters spin and sparkle
warmed by sun upon the hill
change climbs up stony ramparts
drinking freely when they will
until their footfalls fled unnoticed
merely moments to a well.
Scattered cold and lonely bones
lie suspended in the swill
of slime encumbered pebbles
from atop the granite hills
where windy weather wanders
broken bones began to spill
until six fleeing feet of antelope
lie suspended in the swill.
Above the pebbles and the stone
in the gravel where they dwell
brackish ripples still sing stories
of an ancient time when wells
held the answers to all questions
for those who roamed the hills
until they spoiled the sacred water
in the gravel where they dwell.

REAR VIEW MIRROR
If
The water
Drowned the earth bare
And the dry desert shrunk
My feet as i carried my soul
Under my arms and walked away
From all that was coming towards me
I heard your voice through the receiver
Senseless sombre stains forming on the roses of ice
Truth is thicker than blood
Red, as evening, passing over into night
My eyes, empty of reflection, stare into you
Theres no turning back and there is no left behind
Empty soul carried my feet
Shrunk the desert dry
Bare earth drowned
The water
If...
What if?
What
Am
I..?
If

Drowned the earth bare

Music beats psychedelically in my ears;
Sounds layered with so much to hear.
Dogs bark in the distance;
They are calling to for their masters,
And strange voices echo and sequence.
I cannot stay in this room.
The air dances around me as I journey into the adjoining work shop.
Dusty furniture fill the shed, creating a wooden labyrinth of antiquity.
A mirror stands to my right,
Its frame carved to perfection;
Intertwining vines holding a reflection.
I stare into it,
The room turns dark,
And an image begins to appear.
Symbols, hieroglyphs and pictures, of unknown meaning form in the middle of my chest.
I cannot look away,
The hieroglyphs are a story;
They contain my entire life.
The symbols are neatly arranged around an oily, black hole.
I know what it is;
It's all the hate and anger in my life.
I feel as though I can breathe again,
Suddenly all negativity in me became real.
I could see it for what it was.
I looked away and laughed to myself;
No longer do I have to fear the depths of my soul.
