Into Dust

Ashes to ashes,
Dust to dust,
Let my memory,
Rot and rust.

I'm done with this life,
I'm done with the pain,
I'm done with these idiots,
All they do is leave blood stains.

Regrets and vendettas,
Memorials and baby showers,
Everyone's included,
From infants to elders.

To those that did nothing,
Innocent and pure,
To those that were just plain mean,
That had set the lure.

My memories are nothing,
Nothing but lunacy,
Of unfairness and betrayal,
Held together oh so delicately.

I'd had it with the world,
And its globe full of lies,
I seek other realms,
Free from the whys.

As my heart stops beating,
I take a last look at the sky,
So empty, so vast,
And yet it cries.

Heaven's tears fall upon me,
As my secondhand watch turns to rust,
I glance back for the last time,
Before my body melted into dust.
