Ode To Your Influences
An Ode to Stonehenge
In an age a long time ago was built this circle of hell
Here they stand stone next to stone, nobody knows their true power
This was a place where magicians work
On an altar they practiced their cult
With the power of words, they changed the four elements
Fire - Water - Air and Earth - defeated me and be my slave
See my hands and feel the strength - obey my might, obey my will
No one knows what it really can be, also today the legend still lives
They are only signs of a time, where other laws exist on this earth
In the south of England they stand, this is from another life
Let me take you by the hand and I'll show you their power
Hide these feelings in your heart, feel it in your soul
Feel the power of the stones, feel it in your head
I feel the power of the stones, deep within my heart
Stonehenge is calling...

It is the gentle curve in your smile when you think
No one is looking directly at you, but I watch you
In the soft moonlight when you think that you are
All alone in the world. It is when you make a pinky
Promise to never break your spirit and keep your blue
Sky intact. Little do you know it is those little stars
That twinkle in your eyes that makes me realize that
It is you who makes the words on the page come to life.
It is you who makes me feel that life is not only flat.
You make me feel like I can walk through life with strife.
