And if the Ambien does not work
He will switch you to Rozerem
And if the Rozerem still does not work
He will try Trazodone
Just remember sweet lady
That insomnia is number one
Complaint of ladies of a certain age
As their hormones rise and fall
Your brain goes through rage
The sweet sleep of youth eludes you
Nights are spent tossing and turning
Counting sheep, worrying too much
Sweating through the sheets
So after giving up on doctor
See your friendly nutrition store
Now you can choose Valerian
Or Passion Flower
Which has nothing to do with sex
Try Scullcap and Hops and Chamomile
A pillow filled with Lavender
Aromatize your bedroom with Orange oil
The list is very long sweet lady

There are so many things you can try
Insomnia will go away
Try this and that
Finally if you have
A sweet loving man
Making love is the best sleep-aid

Best not dwell on the thoughts of tomorrow
Best not to wallow in your sorrow

Laying here in a daze
about to go self medicate faze
Is this day four or is it five?

And the nightmares can be so real.
But I am hear to scare them away.
I will protect you from things that are different & strange.

And the Sandman is coming to say goodnight.
Do not ignore him!
Do not turn away!
He & I are here to help you, if we may.
I know you don't want to sleep.
Or it's easier to just not.
But the dreamless nights are lonely.
And trust me they are bothersome.

When we fall asleep.
We'll meet under a willow tree.
And catch fireflies.
And sing songs with the stars.
And we'll talk to the moon.
And catch falling stars.
And tree's vines will lean down and give us secret charms.
