Hell and back
Been to hell and back and
You say hell wasn’t here
I’m in a fever dream
Tattoo on my neck and a
Badge in my pocket
Law officer sworn to protect
Angry screams marching down the street

Taking a tablet
Taking a tablet for misinformation
Morning routine first thing take a tablet
Settles the acid in the stomach of my soul
Later on after a hard workout
Soak in Epsom salts
To heal my wounds
After dinner tension headache is
Two Excedrin do the trick
Soothes tired muscles
After we watch tv and she falls asleep
Pick up my tablet of misinformation
Go down many rabbit holes
Pulling on threads that just unwind
Facts set out like a puzzle
As a thread ends another begins

Shilohverse wrote the poem/lyrics and posted them on the 24th of August 2024.
I asked for her permission to take the poem with me on a 7 week trek in our tent, so I could get ideas for a song. And I got that permission. Needless to say I was very glad.
A couple of days after our return, I uploaded the draft to Shilohverse, and shortly after that this version.

Jesus Gulf Stream Jet
Jesus in a 5’5” suit
Spouts about losing wayward friends
As he lifts off in a gulf stream jet
Righteousness in the name of Jesus
Speaks in a church that is a stadium
Paid for by sweat of his audience
Stalks the stage like a demon
But lost souls aren’t what he’s looking for
Deeper within but not your heart
Picks your pocket gains your wallet
Playing on God and decency

Ripples on a pond
Mind doesn’t respond to nature in you
Center mind body your vertebral
Silence Stills the evil in my spirit

So i got a lot of defects.
A lot of thought processes i reject.
Honestly to me it doesn't make sense.
