How not to speak to others.
It's been a while since I've written anything of any particular worth. Last night, sat at a table, with four peers, I felt passionate again. I'd been asked how the house was coming along so I showed a few pictures I fancied in various rooms. I displayed a picture, from Southend 1941, of a mother with her daughter in a wheelbarrow both in gas masks. I suppose it was unwise though I've never been known to tred lightly where I should. In the dining room, I explained, I wanted to dedicate a wall to the causes and effects of war. They laughed, said from my western home I was trying to make myself...

WHEREVER YOU LEAD, I WILL FOLLOW
It's like I have made you with my very own hands
I want you to dance like I taught you every step
And my beacon will call you without any neglect
I want you standing tall even if you feel six feet deep
You're to send chills down spines with a confidence
That's more then just heard whenever you speak
I want your lips telling I’m the reason you breathe
I want for us to always slumber melded in peace
knowing you and God only know secrets I will keep
Let's build our foundation on prayer, faith, and trust

Complexities Of A Veiled Mind
These next three part series, I will be broadening society’s view of the ideology of what the intellect define as adopting the ideology of dark forces.
No, I am not speaking in regards to claiming the sisterhood of an covenant., self -proclaimed sorceress who practices the powers of Mother Nature elements, emphasizing during universal incantations to arouse the formations of the wind, or one who may perform rituals utilizing the paganism colored conjuring of candles, in addition, who can foresee current/future occurrences to tell the future using tarot cards, or it is simply...

Letters To Miki
My dearest Miki
Time is a paradox currently
as we balance our life-force between one another
You fighting to see another day
as I try and keep my mind to the task of getting to you,
living day by day, like it is the last chance
to speak to you on the phone, or to post some deadhead lyrics
on one another's facebook wall.
Perhaps, this is the last letter I post to you Miki
I know we will be together soon
walking Neruda through the misty night air, which path
do we take my love, left or right, or upside down,
back to...

Excogitations...
If the recent events in the middle east answer any lingering questions, such as what exactly does organized religion organize for, then now the answer is clear…they organize for violence.
There is no such thing as a Levantine religion of peace.
Subsequently to this we must wonder what it is about the Levantine oriented beliefs that so virulently promote violence, not only in the middle east, but worldwide.
And the answer to that is the enabling idea of an afterlife, and all the phantasmagorical promises that come with it. Once a rube is conditioned...

Camp Counselor Crush
Camp Counselor Crush
Summer in New Orleans was artichokes dipped in sour cream, plantains ripening in the backyard, and ready to be fried by Mom in a skillet to sweeten my boyish tongue with tropical flavors that summoned the Tarzan in my heart. When Mom baked baklava in the oven the scent was as sweet as the smile of the ladies who strolled the streets of the neighborhood on their evening walks wearing scarves like the Turkish maidens in the pictures from the village of Yalova on the shores of the Sea of Marmara that I only saw in slides from my Dad’s projector.

Dear Diary,
I’m a grown woman with the mental age of a twelve year old tween.
I’ve started reading and writing poetry. Dont ask. I don’t know why? Kind of wish I was better at it. There are a shit ton of people on here who know what they’re doing. I’m not one of them.
I ate my weight in cookies today because I was mad. Super mature decision. I’m sure I’ll throw them up later.
I’m working over time to present the world a nice version of me. Epic. Fail. I want a drink and I wish I smoked. But that’s dumb I’d just end up with a headache and stinky breath....

Getting The Nude On
As a family, we have our nude on. My family and extended family are wired to be free in nature. Birds do it and though you may not realize it, you learn from it. A sense of being free and a relationship with nature. Which brings with it a positive body image and higher self-esteem. In your own space and there, is no one to judge you because you are among like-minded people. It also gives you confidence. The same people who say, "I wouldn't do that," or the very same people who dream about it if they are honest with themselves. I find it hypocritical that we are all naked, proud, and free...

Personal Update
Not looking for sympathy, just explaining ... been a hell couple of weeks personally ... sadly becoming more frequent with this random ass disease ... so am (ok) ... just hard to focus on other things when you are trying to immerse yourself in things that help you forget the pain ... last December and June were similar so I expect more of the same and each a bit worse than the last ... and the in-between times are their own roller coaster of lesser, but no less frustrating issues ... when I don't post or write now, 9 out of 10 times it's because I'm struggling with above ...

Toast, In Particular
Cheap fluffy bread slices.
Pulled carelessly out of their plastic seal. Tossed onto the counter without sight. Reflexes engaged in conversation.
I'll be awake soon.
Escaped from all the household sounds.
That have amplified with the sun.
The toaster button's pressed.
Forgotten until it reminds.
Until then the eggs need stirring,
And the conversation needs more details.
Springing up and grabbed without a breathe.
The center is slathered from the already awaiting container.
The bread constricts in volumn,
But the...
