Saraswati Fever
There came a trance beyond the loss of pants
From the cursive of her Sanskrit physique
Demonstrating oriental romance
Of advanced anatomical technique;
Easy-peasy for a four armed goddess
And even easier when she removes
Her all too constrictive Hindu bodice
For thoracic liberty which behooves
Her all night belly dance in the moonbeams
Of mesonoxian phantasmagoria
Spilling over into heady daydreams
Of tetradic palmist euphoria,
And...as an added aphrodisiac...
She speaks fluent nymphomaniac!

wishes and horses
All paradises, all utopias are designed by who is not there, by
the people who are not allowed in.”―Toni Morrison, 1998 March 09
if words bore half the merits of small deeds,
or silent thoughts were half-articulate
as words that suck the tongue till wisdom bleeds,
or sleep were conscious half as wakeful fret,
utopia were my fragrant reverie.
and if my golden daze saw no dark knights,
horizons no taut bounds fixed by vast sea,
nor treach'rous skies constrained indulgent flights,
then were my wishes trite...
the people who are not allowed in.”―Toni Morrison, 1998 March 09

The Ocean Becomes The Sky
When the ocean became the sky
I was there,
When I looked out from the Narrows Bridge,
It was quite black,
I fathomed,
How in the nautical length
Could I reach the arch of heaven?
I wondered if anyone down there
Could measure
Our understanding of a sounding line
Heavens length equal to six feet of water,
A difficult problem,
Would anyone care
If I laid in the air?
When the ocean became the sky
I was there,
limitless, I hope I can stay
Way up here while
You’re stuck 467 feet...

a sonnet
i dream of lands across the ocean blue
where silent hopes awaken with the sun
mountains of green and red and golden hue
transport my heart to where fresh rivers run
i dream of summer berries and ripe fruit
that whet the appetite with dripping juice
of flow'rs wind-dancing on the pleasant route
and nesting birds piping their joyful truce
how shall i navigate the great divide
where dreams cannot frail spirits keep afloat
yet still i yearn to reach the other side
tonight i sail my little...

Profusion
As full and round as Aphrodite's breast
Arose the moon in late winter gold
And by a diaphanous mist caressed
As sweetly as whispered nothings told
Into the ear of a lover obsessed
With some entendre urbanely drolled,
Then into a flirtation coalesced
With Luna herself for the centerfold
In teeming evening cloud gown manifest;
An abounding glory to behold,
Like Dolly Parton's hemispheric chest,
With nipples by dishabille extolled
Or a T-shirt contest Octoberfest
Of Pan-flute Oreads...

Nursery Rhyme
Mary goes around
the chicken coop
picking eggs
picking eggs
puts the first one in a keg
and the second in a bag
if the third smells like nutmeg
throw away that egg
throw that egg away
put away
put away
put away
before it turns grey
this is not a gag
give the forth egg to a hag
write all this in a tag
and just pick another egg
don't worry about the hen
she can run
she can fly
she can run
in the wind like a flag
very proud not to drag
Mary picks the fifth...
