She Had Other Ideas In Mind
After they drove to the spot
of their picnic, Harry
had planned on shoving
his
wife
Rose
off the cliff. But she
had other ideas
in mind for her own hubby.

I'll Always Remember You, Molly.
John watched the
video of Molly on
her motorcycle
which brought
back such fond
memories they
shared before
the accident.

Honest, Guys! It Was An Accident!
After we found Dad
shot in a near vacant lot,
he reached up to touch my hand.
And after he died,
young Cody Maguire walked up
with his grandfather's shotgun.

Whole Life
Letby faces becoming only the second woman alive to be handed a whole-life order, meaning she would never be released from prison, when she is sentenced. The boys' parents described the nurse as a “danger to everyone” and said she should never be released.“ - Josh Halliday, “‘They could have stopped Lucy Letby’: babies’ parents criticise hospital bosses“, The Guardian, Fri 18 Aug 2023

Some Guy That She Had Only Met
One day, Sharon was
smiling and posing for some
guy that she had only met.
The next, her corpse was
found on the beach beaten and
sexually violated.

Iridium In Blue
Standing at the top of a hill overlooking the sadness of a weary society.
My will starting to break.
Tomorrow is not without mourning a future whose promise is of pain and conflict.
Can two groups in opposite directions peacefully co-exist outside of a daydream?
Marching in unison with an friend disguised as an enemy has become commonplace.
Both groups seeking a peace that is only achievable through conflict.
Turmoil is a migraine to the soldiers who spilled blood to ensure a better way for the generation to come.

For the Birds
As always
the birds sang when the sun rose
I checked the weather
shook out a pee and threw on clothes
then let the coffee tickle my nose
as always
I walked by the ocean to feel alive
breathing in deep
kicking sand through my toes
to tickle the tide
as always
But something strange
stalked the water's edge
a dozen gannets
and all of them dead
bodies bloated with sunken eyes
my morning murdered by a cruel surprise
and then nothing seemed right in paradise
no nothing felt...

Like The Shower Scene From "Psycho"
While she was washing
the dirt off, Pamela heard
a crash and opened the door.
But before she reached
for that gun, someone grabbed her
arm and stabbed Pam seven times.

What Is It? Are You Okay?
Lindsay stopped
running and leaned herself
on a chain link fence before she looked
up and saw her lonesome friend Steve walk up to her
and ask "What is it? Are you okay?"
That made her confess to
killing Dad.

night lessons
The broken will always be able to love harder than most.
Once you've been in the dark, you learn to appreciate everything

it may be your night of cancer,
