They're Not The Only Ones Still Waiting For The Other Shoe To Drop
Uncle
George had just
died and
left his house to Mark
and his family
on the condition
that they
stay there for
one year.

The Train Kept A Rollin
A teenage girl somewhere anywhere was busy text messaging friends on her cell phone a month ago.
She was walking along a set of railroad tracks.
Although deaf since birth, she had frequently proclaimed that she could avoid danger more easily then hearing people.
She was much more sensitive to vibrations, especially from approaching trains and those roaring train whistles.
She was wrong.
She was mangled beyond recognition.
They were able to identify the body, since her i-phone survived the collision.

she loved the river
Life is like the river, sometimes it sweeps you gently along and
sometimes the rapids come out of nowhere.”―Emma Smith
she loved the river,
the whispering, lisping river.
there skinny-dipped
under the curtain of its depths,
when no one was around.
fish popping out huge eyes,
attracted by her nippled elegance
and marvelled by her gently rippled dance.

it's all relative
when all laws have been
abolished
one could be arrested and
punished for anything
there will no difference
between the innocent
and the guilty
and the gallows will
sing

unshockable
Unshakable resilience in the crucible of life has rendered my spirit
‘brave, strong and utterly unshockable.’ Bring it on!”—CAB
i've witnessed fire come down from heav'n,
smelting sand, steel, and stones;
survived the rape of nine-elev’n;
broken a thousand bones.
i've seen seas sweep swift swirling storms
that smother saint and sage,
and refugees torn from their dorms
like cattle in a cage.
i have beheld the prisoner rot
in gaol without a...

Fast Food Frenzy
A woman walks into a McDonald's
Couldn’t be no more then 25
Acting unbalanced & psychotic
She ordered a large shake & a small fry
She began preaching out loud
Lecturing to all that would listen
The Whopper outranks the Big Mac
Can everyone understand my vision?
Workers are yelling at her
Trying to calm her down
While preaching, she had a gun
She insisted for everyone to get to the ground
While her back was facing the counter
The manager who was no more then 36
Thought if he sneaked up behind her ...

A Poisonous Drowning
They were married for a very long time
Minimal love for one another
Both daydreamed about the perfect crime.
A poor swimmer she was at best
He thought of submerging her deep
An expeditious agonizing death.
He enjoyed her cooking and anything she made
She thought of poisoning his food
Wild Mushrooms, drain cleaners or a can of raid.
One day they went walking on the beach
The ocean was violent
Waves crashing within an arms reach
She made a picnic basket full of joy
Pie, sandwiches and soda
She said to...

it's a real crime
recently
our city council made
it illegal to be homeless
in public
since when did the poor
and destitute become
criminals for being poor
and destitute
bulldozers came and
bowled over a homeless
encampment
...just when I think our
species can't get any
lower
I get proven how wrong
I am...
again
again
and
again
one would think that
after 65 yrs I would ...

Cannonballs
A dark wind has come upon us
tears us apart from limb to limb
up on the mountain they look down
as my neighbor slits the throat of my friend
someone seemed to have pulled the thread
everything unraveled
up from the bottom to catch a breath
for the amusement of those who lit the fuse
behind the bricks lays the gold
pull up your boot straps and come get it
wealth and the greed we need to be worthy
loyalty to a ring
saw a picture of a girl somebody slaughtered
on the banks of the water...

THE MOON AND HER STARS
Being outside in the dark seems to be therapy on it's own. Just looking at the beautiful moon and thinking of your face brings me warmth. The sky twinkling like that beautiful smile you wore until your last days. The moon looks as beautiful as you were, it makes me feel closer to you. Full moon days are my favourite, they get me looking forward to dawn all day, when you'll rise up with the sun going down. I feel whole when the moon is fully and gracefully sharing it's light with the rest of the world at night, and the star twinkling so brightly and beautifully filling my entire body with...
