I cried
( my picture of the eclipse )
I broke down and I
Cried.
The Sun
Had died
In the sky.
I could not
breath.
As much
As I wanted
To try.
I thought
Death
Had come.
I wanted with him
To fly.
Will the
Moon
Release her grip
Soon
Before she finally dies?
Will the
Light
Return again
Bright
On my tired Eyes?
Will the
World
Ponder this
Wonder or
As...
I broke down and I
Cried.
The Sun
Had died
In the sky.
I could not

As much
As I wanted
To try.
I thought
Death
Had come.
I wanted with him

Will the
Moon
Release her grip
Soon
Before she finally dies?
Will the
Light
Return again
Bright
On my tired Eyes?
Will the
World
Ponder this

Flower In The Sun
There is a little flower
just a daisy in the sun
it's almost invisible
it's unseen by anyone
There's grace in how it's swaying
in the soft and gentle breeze
I'd love to pick that daisy
just to take it home with me
It's just a little flower
I found standing tall and proud
I stood in awe, yes wonder
as I heard it speak out loud
'I'm a flower in the sun
but I'm lonesome as I can be
please pick me and take me home
I don't like being alone'
just a daisy in the sun
it's almost invisible
it's unseen by anyone
There's grace in how it's swaying
in the soft and gentle breeze
I'd love to pick that daisy
just to take it home with me
It's just a little flower

Still-born Tomorrow
Mysterious moon.
Lay up on the sun's hot fire
Still-born tomorrow.
Lay up on the sun's hot fire
Still-born tomorrow.

sunrise
restless morning betray me not
awakened to the day I pray one of beauty
inside my dreams, you saw me
eager to visit, I was awoken
the sun has yet to kiss the morn
I in a sleepy state greeted the wee hours
smiling at me from the clock on the nightstand
I thought surely it was too early
then the beautiful stillness of the day sway me
so I walk into the solemn corridors of the morning
watching in awe as the sun first touches the horizon
the night whispers I love you
two old lovers, she departs to her bed chamber

THROW THOSE CURTAINS WIDE
Throw those curtains wide,
let daylight inside,
lighten all the room,
chase away night gloom.
Let it shine on you,
be night-clothed or nue,
in its warmth bathe in
as it touches skin.
Feel the face of God
look upon your bod,
your soul deep into;
He created you.
Said, "Let there be light!":
then world came in sight.
On its face sprung life,
good without sin's strife.
Let that light of day
inspire you on way
lighting up your path

totally eclipsed...
it was a weekend with a dual purpose
to watch sun disappear behind moon
and a chance for me to get away from the mundane
go on an adventure
let my hair down & have a little fun
Willow style...submerged in nature
and I did
exploring monuments & caves
taking in incredible landscapes
Black Hills backdrop to a cerulean sky
it was there I lost the thread of the trip
having a moment most unexpected
witnessing the spirit of man
in breathtaking granite
as the world continued to move around me
I stood in silence ...

heat
touch me
all
that you
feel
to be
justified,
to be
fair,
tickle
my exposed
skin,
still knowing
i will not
be able
to return
or give
what
your favor
i received.

Releasing the Light
It is our light not our darkness
that most frightens us.'
We lit the candles of our Spirit—
not under a bushel of ancient secrets
digging as moles in sunken basements;
but, a cavernous gateway to acceptance
Trimmed the wicks of our heart
to observe Love blaze brighter
from this darkest eve of Winter
Allowed flames to alight memory—
fill our dark soul of night
with fresh perspectives in truth
Felt bygone...
that most frightens us.'

Easterlies
A lone crow perched on a breeze bobbing bough
clutching it like a floatation device
with every bit of its feathered know-how
foundering on high like a sacrifice,
to Eurus, and full afternoon sun,
blasting glory to every dancing tree
in sky blue by the cerulean ton,
and freshest barometric liberty!
Soon enough, the crow abandoned its post
to flotsam away on knackered wings
perhaps seeking a branch, not so utmost,
or to scratch the grass for edible things.
Fare thee well, oh breeze...

The Evolution of Creation
So He, the divine being,
(Who for millenniums and centuries has had different names)
Let loose his power with a clap of his hands,
And Bang!
He created a race of celestial giants across the cosmos.
And off they went, scattered transversely on His canvas,
The new universe.
But these titans of massive and epic proportions,
Some of gas, some of dust,
Went into conflict,
To conquer and claim
Their territories in the vast expanse.
And for millions and billions of years
They went to war.
Some of the gas giants would...
