Short Poems About the Sun

VESPERS
sit
and watch
as gods
dim
the lights
and my bright
star
spills fire
across their dusky
canvas
a lustrous
swirl,
a vaporous
panorama
smeared
above
the pines,
its fiery
clouds
the glowing
harbinger
of sacred
night
then crickets
and tree frogs
conjure
the moon
and stars are
pinholes
in a dark
cathedral sky,
the lights
of heaven
shining
through
and watch
as gods
dim
the lights
and my bright
star
spills fire
across their dusky
canvas
a lustrous
swirl,
a vaporous
panorama
smeared
above
the pines,
its fiery
clouds
the glowing
harbinger
of sacred
night
then crickets
and tree frogs
conjure
the moon
and stars are
pinholes
in a dark
cathedral sky,
the lights
of heaven
shining
through

Science Musings
Poets muse the smiling sun,
Science scans the mathematics;
Both will chase the light-beam,
Each with potent ecstasy.

Maybe I would be cold
Without your cuddle—
How can I know
When you are so hot
Like the sun
To a marmot
HOW CAN I KNOW?

How can I know
When you are so hot
Like the sun
To a marmot
HOW CAN I KNOW?

Fickle
The sun is burning
I beg the gods for the snow
Yet I hate the cold
I beg the gods for the snow
Yet I hate the cold

a real love story
today,
I laid in a
field
and let
the sun
touch
me,
caress
me
everywhere,
make me
his
paramore.
holding
me in
his arms,
whispering
sweetly in
my ear until
I was breathless:
I love
you,
I love
you,
I
love
you.
then warm,
satisfied,
I slept,
my soul
couldn't
cum
anymore.
I laid in a
field
and let
the sun
touch
me,
caress
me
everywhere,
make me
his
paramore.
holding
me in
his arms,
whispering
sweetly in
my ear until
I was breathless:
I love

I love
you,
I
love
you.
then warm,
satisfied,
I slept,
my soul
couldn't
cum

Light
I woke up today
Realized
The sun has been there
This whole time
I had been caught up
All the while
Chasing butterflies
By moonlight
But by the grace
Of the grave
I stumbled
Into light
Realized
The sun has been there
This whole time
I had been caught up
All the while
Chasing butterflies
By moonlight
But by the grace
Of the grave
I stumbled
Into light

the crack of...
Where darkness gives way
to pink light that punches through
and bruise melts to gold

Senryu - Triptych: Going Absolutely Bananas
Green hands in tiers bunched
curved fingers reaching Sunward
tropic chandelier
Split, blended, or sliced
for sweet delights sacrificed
savor joy's flavor
By mere brown spots shunned
when spotted, sweet flavor peaks
prize the fruit not peel
