Frosty Mornings
Sun shiny golden
Days brightness turning to snow
Storms havoc creates.
February flies
Into Marches windy wishes
For Springs returning.
For now nature brims
Baleful ice frosted mornings
Magic by arctic.
Days brightness turning to snow
Storms havoc creates.
February flies
Into Marches windy wishes
For Springs returning.
For now nature brims
Baleful ice frosted mornings
Magic by arctic.

There Was Nothing Else For Us To Do
Since there was nothing
else for us to do while
our cabin was inside the
storm, both Karen and
I made ourselves strip
down and look at each
other play with our
attached goodies.

Stars
In the night sky's vast incandescence.
Stars whisper secrets of wind presence.
Dreams ignite with hopeful persistence.
Guiding hearts with gentle fluorescence.

the clouds
the clouds
were busy
shape
shifting,
forgetting
how to fly,
their sense
of direction
was over,
their
languages
disappeared,
they opened
their mouths
and only
rain formed,
taking time
to fall
to
the ground,
even with
no intentions,
they weighted
the earth
with their
lost voices.

Between Hurricanes
There's nothing romantic
about dying together.
There are those minutes
where one goes first,
leaving the other to suffer
the agony of what they loved most
is gone.
Staring at the corpse
of love removed,
and then waiting their turn.
Morbid then; I'd want you
to die before me.
Your pain would cease first
and it would bleed into me,
as I held you tightly.
I'd then die doubly weighted,
with our goodbyes
and emotions turmoiled.
And that's okay.
I'd cross my arms
over my chest ...
about dying together.
There are those minutes

leaving the other to suffer
the agony of what they loved most
is gone.
Staring at the corpse
of love removed,

Opportunity is gone
Storm washed away roads
Roads were closed, canceled my trip
My one chance for change

A Cold Emptiness
As the sunlight dies
In cold empty darkness
Stillness of the grave
What the ruins remember
Through time and memory
Death appears through the windblown storm
Where the flame is eternal
Awakening
In cold empty darkness
Stillness of the grave
What the ruins remember
Through time and memory
Death appears through the windblown storm
Where the flame is eternal
Awakening

be strong (endure)
be strong,
enough
for yourself
little flower
to endure
the heaviness
of storms,
do not
let
the rain
dissolve
your dreams
of
one day
blooming,
letting
the world
accept your
individual
and unique
beauty.

approaching storm
i heard
another
approaching
storm
this morning,
the thunder
calling,
the clouds
refilled,
the wind's
conversation
like
swinging arms,
and i
stand at
the edge,
waiting
expecting.

coming another storm
he couldn't
sleep
that night,
heavy,
undressed
the trees,
hear
the chorus,
lurching at
riddled
corpses,
he had
a drink
and scrawled
his name.

floating stream
i want
to make
a connection
with that
floating stream,
that surface
and stages,
all plump
and
well fed,
the rains
repeating
certain themes,
some desire
and restraint,
to feel less
of a victim,
more of
a villain,
to drown
what lays
in its
destination..
