The Shepherd's Hour
The Shepherd's Hour
The moon is red on misty horizon
Within a dancing fog, and the plains
In vapor dozing, the frog complains
Among the reeds, where chill has arisen
***
Water flowers have closed their petals
In distance far, poplars show profile
Straight and tight their ghosts unseen awhile
And between the bush, glowworms shuttle
**
The owls now awake, noiseless take flight
Rowing the black air with heavy wings
The zenith full, a fainting glow blinks
White, Venus emerges, it is Night *
...

Wings aglow,
In the night they glance, so free,
Winds ablow,
Stars above that softly glow,
Butterflies in twilight's trance,

Journey to the Stars
There are no more holes
to bury secrets.
Standing in the chasm between
body and spirit, I am unbroken.
Taking back my time, my being,
my every last piece that once was dismantled,
walking into a new life
here, or into another dimension
replete with love:
this is the measure of life.
Emerging in starlight as
dust to earth
heat to fire
breath to air
weightless to water.
My journey to the stars
may be long…
But it is healing.
to bury secrets.

Cosmic Hush
In the realm of splendid voids,
where silence dances and shadows play,
there exists a place beyond the stars
where nothingness blooms in shades of gray.
Superb nothing at all times
when clocks cease their tireless chime
and the universe holds its breath
as if waiting for a secret rhyme.
No suns to rise, no moons to wane,
only echoes of forgotten dreams,
in this cosmic hush we find solace
as reality unravels at the seams.
The wind whispers tales of absence
and the rivers flow with empty grace.
Mountains...

Stars Eclipse the Moon
smothering the dawn...never
layed=back resistance to relieve tension
I prefer a hands-off approach
present, without impeding the wind
manners matter when dealing with molecules
on a molecular level, the earth is grieving
Its growing pains are recognized
as the universe stretches bending time to accommodate growth
within and without
sentinels of peace keep track
it is purported the Earth is billions of years old
humans laid track alongside the dinosaurs
giants have come and they have gone
so says time ...

The Ballad of the Crab
Old Hercules was brave and strong,
a credit to his dad.
He made the world a safer place
which made his dad’s wife mad.
Back up a step, that’s not quite true.
For Hera had some proof
that Zeus can’t keep it in his pants
and took her for a goof.
Babe Herc, he was a demi-god
birthed of Alcmene’s line.
Instead of getting mad at Zeus
Queen Hera hurled all her abuse
at stopping Herc’s divine.
She tried to kill him at every turn,
and never got her wish,
but that’s not the tale I want to tell
I want...

In the twilight of memories,
where the real and the imaginary intertwine,
there is a secret garden, hidden among the stars,

On the banks of the river of eternity

The stars are aligned with my soul,
Mars as my fingernails,
Read this brail,
We seek and tell the truth,
Venus like a belt, this loop,
Is seldomly moved,
Neptunes a lace, placed inside the loops of my shoes like snakes when they move,
