It's the big Sneeze.
Coughs and snotty sneezes spread diseases
so trap your mucky germs in handkerchiefs,
or put your head in a bag if you please its
gross for you but for us, a jolly wheeze.
Sneezes travel at ten mile per hour
and it's an ill wind which sneezes no good,
so think of someone's Aaachoo germ shower
as time to keep fit and run off like Gump.
The ancients saw sneezes as gifts from gods
like Penelope in the Odyssey,
so we sneeze and folk say " bless you " it's odd
it's more the gods are...

Just in Case
I make my art from common things
more cabbage patch than pearls on strings
right plain I spoke no riddles made
among the words where I have played.
Still,' folk pretend to be bemused
make mock amazement, seem amused,
a sly attempt, it could be said,
to deride words grown, from my head...
I say it's they with their mean minds
wilfully closed snide and unkind,
no laurel leavers I could crown
if they write up it is to put down.
They are gathering their collective breath
to blow me into literal death,...

Deadwood Manifestations
The deadwood stirs beneath the moon
Its branches black and bare
They twist and groan a hollow tune
Like phantoms in the air
Their whispers drift on midnight’s breath
A cold and ghastly song
And tales of sorrow, loss, and death
Are woven faint and long
I walk alone, yet feel their eyes
The trees, so stark and still
Each shadow hides what underlies
A secret dark and chill
No stars break through the twisted boughs
No breeze can ease the night
For in this wood, the silence bows
To voices lost from...

Killing Stroke
In yon pale moon’s bewitching light
The noble blade is swift outborne
A silver flash through starless night
The herald of the fatal morn
Yon longsword sweeps with fairest grace
A serpent’s hiss through shadowed air
Cold steel doth kiss the foe’s pale face
And death’s soft whisper lingers there
The knight, unbowed, in gallant form
Doth strike as wind through autumn leaves
No brutish blow, but tempered storm
A stroke the weeping soul deceives
Yon killing sweep, so artful, pure
A dance of flesh, of blood, of bone ...

Asymmetrical
Contorted reasoning
with an assorted seasoning
of flavored bullshit.
I tried to savor it as it hit.
Alas, ignorance was bliss.
Your traveling kisses
believed to be wholesome,
delivered too late; I succumbed.
Knelt with tears seeping
through my fingers, keeping
what was left of me whole.
Strikes against my soul.
Still, I felt hopeful, so I waited
while good memories faded.
Eventually revealing
that we were not healing.
I softly inhaled, then a hard sigh
because you never even tried.

Endless Night
Today I returned
Awakened
Harmony divided
In my faith
Past memories
God is who I hate
Searching the betrayal
Shadows of light
Silent Tomorrow's
Endless night's

Something Wicked this Way Comes (my rendition)
When diamonds dance on oceans waves
Sinks to the bottom of Poseidon's caves.
When push and pull are too strong to bear
and all who see turn to despair.
A shimmer of hope once appeared
on an ethereal face, it did glare.
Unbeknownst to all but true.
beneath the sweet is putrid glue.
With commanding grace and words,
that spread like fire.
All coward down
To its desire.
Claws and teeth were exposed.
Slashing through designer clothes.
Tears and wails floated on the wind.
As it echoes and...

Wanderings of A Crimson Seer
The crimson seer doth roam
With bones and rites in tow
Her weary steps through loam
'Neath skies that ever glow
The runes she casts in flame
The stars her secret guide
She calls each fate by name
And bids the veil divide
With trembling hands she grasps
The orb of midnight’s hue
In shadows deep, she clasps
The threads that none construe
Her whispered words of old
In tongues both dark and fey
Doth summon powers bold
To show what none dare say
The cards she spreads with care
Each...

Meadow Ghosts
Beneath the pale, relentless noon
Where light wears thin and weak
The meadow lies, a muted tune
And shadows softly speak
The grasses bow, as though to mourn
In whispers low and slight
For all that once by day was borne
Now flees the pressing light
There, sorrow drapes the autumn bough
With unseen burdens weighed
And silence fills the hollowed vow
That daylight scarce has made
The air grows damp with old regret
A grief that time has grown
And though no shade nor form be met
One does not walk alone ...
Where light wears thin and weak
The meadow lies, a muted tune
And shadows softly speak
The grasses bow, as though to mourn
In whispers low and slight
For all that once by day was borne

Ease of Autumn
In Hills where the mist meets the gold of the trees
Lived a Bavarian lord, with a heart set at ease
The chill of the autumn had kissed the bright land
And the fruits of the season were ripe by his hand
His manor stood high, with its windows aglow
Scent of the harvest crept soft through the snow
The vineyards hung heavy, the apples were sweet
The fields rich with pumpkins lay under his feet
With a laugh in his throat and his stein raised high
He welcomed the dusk, under crisp autumn sky
His dunkel was poured, dark and full...
