Cave Art
I'm gazing at some ancient cave-art
marveling that folk, so long ago,
thought fit to record their small part
in their own modern world, although,
they didn't know it would vanish
but they knew they were doomed to die,
and, perhaps, sought to banish
their fear with their art, like you and I,
who try to live beyond our death
by scribbling in our own little caves,
trying to live beyond our last breaths
like those ancient, artistic braves?

Reflections
There is, perhaps, some artless art
here, not quite a studio pose,
but complete calmness on the part
of the subject soon no one will know.
There are three generations here
but two without a living voice
to express things which they held dear
except through this simple device.
The third, of course, it the viewer
reflecting on this photograph,
seeing my grandfather anew
then father, reflected in the glass.

Cleft for Me
Mound of ages cleft of me
let me hide myself in thee,
let your supple lip now part
let me reach your tender heart,
let me fly these special wings
to the final awful sting
Mound of ages cleft for me
as the parting of great seas,
let me play my fears away
in this warm forgetful way
bring me comfort let me nest,
till my final, fearful rest,
Mound of ages, mothered all
from that first awful fall,
let the silent mirrors cease
to reflect my passing lease
let me hide, hide in thee,
mound...
let me hide myself in thee,
let your supple lip now part
let me reach your tender heart,
let me fly these special wings
to the final awful sting
Mound of ages cleft for me

Dawn of Glory
As I sit upon my steed
Armor gleaming in the sun
I can't help but feel a twinge of doubt
A sense that something's not quite right
For I am but a simple knight
A warrior of humble birth
Yet here I am, preparing to fight
For a cause I may not understand
I close my eyes and take a breath
As memories flood my mind
Of all the people I have left
Of the love I've left behind
I see my mother's worried face
My father's proud and stern
I see my sweetheart's gentle grace
And feel the love that I'll return
...

What Does Humanity Mean?
The morality of man is often debated
Some say it's innate, some say it's fated
Is it right or wrong, black or white?
Or shades of gray, hidden from sight?
One thing is certain, the choice is ours
To follow our conscience,
Or stray from its powers
For in the end, it's our actions we'll face And the morals we choose,
Will determine our place
Some say it's innate, some say it's fated
Is it right or wrong, black or white?
Or shades of gray, hidden from sight?
One thing is certain, the choice is ours
To follow our conscience,
Or stray from its powers
For in the end, it's our actions we'll face And the morals we choose,
Will determine our place

Dreams of Dusk
The twilight air is filled with golden hue
A soft and gentle light that fills the sky
The birds have all retired, save a few
That sing their songs before they say goodbye
The trees stand tall and silent, bathed in glow
Their leaves afire with the setting sun
The air is cool, a gentle breeze doth blow As evening settles, day's work is done
And as the darkness falls, the stars do shine
A distant fire that burns so bright and true
They twinkle in the night, a sight divine
A guide for travelers lost and feeling blue

The Midnight Window
A man sits at his window, at night
Quill in hand, paper in sight
He writes a poem by candlelight
Wondering why the world is dark, despite
The moon and stars that should provide Some glimmer of hope, some light inside But all he sees is endless night
Leaving him with just his thoughts to guide
He wonders if the darkness is within
A reflection of the state he's in
Or if it's something larger,
Something bigger
A force that he can't comprehend or figure
He writes and...

Sexy time!
Oh sex, what fun it can be
A night of pleasure and ecstasy
A time of love and connection
The ultimate act of affection
From slow and soft to hard and fast
From gentle kisses to rough and raunchy
It's a pleasure from start to finish
That can never be too punchie
From cuddles to nibbles and licks
From caresses to explosive orgasms
It's a pleasure that we can't resist
And it's a thrilling ride to the bottom
So come on, let's get it on
Let's explore the wonders of sex
It's a pleasure and a joy ...

Hallowed Halls
In hallowed halls old art is shown
not bronze, silver or pharaoh's thrones,
these more ancient from fossiled graves
of our forebears, the stone-age brave,
who left their art on humble stone.
Giant auks, cave bears, in pastel tone,
arrows loosed, stones, spears soon are thrown
full captured here except for groans,
In hallowed halls.
Mammoth, wolf, deer, elk, dappled roan
for fifty-thousand years have roamed
the dusty walls of these old naves
their temples then, their art engraved,
by children, women, men, unknown ...

Who Will Honour...
Long before sapient tribesman ran,
armed with bow, cudgel, axe and spear,
across the veldt to rape and span
a virgin world in á few years,
extinguishing with curse and jeers
the fauna of that promised land
an ancient race stewarded earth
Neanderthal woman, and her man.
Who will honour our sister species
those who had Earth's first stewardship,
who left no tombstone just pieces
of fossiled bone and flint-stone chips,
those who worked with nature's needles
to sew fur cloaks and leather...

no Sonnet
No chains no handcuffs or sick slap arounds
no threesome's or moresomes or such like stuff,
no toys or candles dripping hot wax down
and, for fox sake, I'm not your bit of fluff!
No masks or gags or those silly costumes
no dom or sub or from foreign nation,
no public stuff (Don't you dare to presume!)
I have my rules and you will obey them.
No queues no chain or yuki bukkaki
no face sitting or sodomy, or you,
and just lip on lip is where lip should be
just follow the rules and I will be true.
